Wow. Had a hunch he would do that, but I'm still surprised. What a nice son, though I wonder if he felt pressured to join his father. Anyways I think billy will be a great player at canisius. Perhaps we will only beat them by 20 points this year.

My guess is that it's the only way Billy-Boy can guarantee himself playing time. UVA to URI to CC. Notice a pattern here? Next he'll try to be starting at G for NFHS.

Father Irenaeus was such a kind and giving monk, Mount Irenaeus is a great place to reflect goodness and kindness....why in the world does this person take the name of goodness and reflect the negative......post with a different name.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

If Baron gets a waiver (which he will) Canisius will be good this year. They will have 3 players that could start in the a-10 in Baron, Asprilla, and Sosa.

I agree with JAC, Canisius will be a much more difficult team to beat than last year. I have no doubt the Bonnies will come out on top, but it will be a war. Baron will have the Griffins prepared like never before.

Another slow news day on the Bandwagon.

If anyone knows if Barry Mungar, Sam Graham or Elmer Anderson have kids, can you please update us on their lives?

Would you prefer another thread discussing Eli Carter? Billy Baron seems to be the replacement topic of choice.

With Jim Baron at CC, the Bonnies should never take that game for granted. Playing SBU will be one of Canisius College's bigger games every year now. Baron will have his players motivated to help their Coach beat his former team similar to the way the Bonnies seemed to get up for the URI games the last ten years or so.

The basketball-playing son of a notable alum joins the hated rival, which SBU happens to play this year and, well, most years. ...

Nope. No news there.

I'd be careful saying this is already a guaranteed win. If this is an early-season game like it was two years ago, it will be a challenge especially with CC's revamped roster.

Like mentioned before, they have a transfer guard from UCF, transfer forward from UCF, Billy Baron, they have Wahington who is solid, and also have 6-11 transfer Jordan Heath who might be the best of the bunch.

I've updated my favorites link to read baronbandwagon. Can't wait to get stat updates on him all year. For a kid that is playing for his 3rd program, and was never a Bonnie, I don't see why all the fanfare over him. Sure his dad played here and coached here. That time is long gone.

I keep waiting for the day they unveil a statue on campus of Papa Baron walking on water.

That could be cool, but it would probably end up not even looking like him. :D

I don't see any fanfare over him. Someone posted that he transferred to CC. I don't see the big deal. If you don't want to read anything about it, don't open the thread. Seems pretty simple.
