I have seen him play in AAU but in Canada, wasn't he a 5 year senior had no remaining years of high school eligibility (athletic)
What is his academic eligibility status? He's definitely a stud and an impact player but.....?

There is no question that Dyshawn can play and would be the next Canadian impact player for the Bonnies. ESPN has him rated a 91 off of last years international competition performance.
I think we have loyally recruited this youngster for some time but believe academics are a questionable issue.
He is a kid who would thrive at Bonnies and not just for basketball. With small classes, it would work well for the academic side to help and monitor him frequently. If he opts for a SEC type BCS school he will be lost in classrooms of 150 kids or more.
Where is the guidance?

Dyshawn lives less than 45 mins away from Andrew. He is very aware that Bona has two other Canadians & that flag man raises the Canadian Maple Leaf after every score. The fact that senior night had the Canadian Anthem sung along with the Star Spangled Banner demonstrates Bonas love & respect for its Canadian players. If he decides on being a Bonnie we will continue to have 3 Canadians this fall. Bona would be a pefect match for Dyshawn in so many ways. His dominance against older players in Europe last year showed his considerable skills against high level talent. This weekend he demonstrated it again at the Pitt Jam Fest. He is a high character kid who would florish at Bona. I echo bjif's comment that he would be the next Canadian impact player. I would add that his impact would be considerable. www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dyshawn-Pierre-6121/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-tXW5BcPD4 www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHtv5f4bxUY

The best way for a freshman to contribute is defensively, see Jordan Gathers.
"(Pierre) really made his presence felt blocking shots and rebounding at a terrific rate, setting the tone nicely for his teammates." From wgt's draftexpress article.
It's tough to teach work ethic.

Word is Dyshawn will be on campus this weekend. The staff needs to get him over to the Seneca Inn for some wings and seal the deal.

Seems to be conflicting info about Pierre possibly being on campus this weekend. Can anybody shed some light on this ? He would be a great get for us.
