I'm hearing that the reason we haven't heard anything is that nobody on either side is talking. Nobody wants to be the "snitch". They are being interviewed, but are not saying anything that would implicate (sp) someone.

While this is a poorly written post, I also heard this rumor. Not gonna say who it was, But I did hear that a Bonaventure player struck a women in the face.

When this thread was first posted someone asked how the "downstate" JCC players selected JCC in Olean. I don't believe that question has been answered yet. So, from my memory I do believe that I have the answer.

The current coach at JCC, I believe his last name to be Kemp, has a connection with a high school coach from the Long Island area. Perhaps this coach was Kemp's high school coach. At any rate when Mr. Kemp became coach Kemp he was looking for players to upgrade the program. He did recruit and sign two players who attended Olean schools and then brought in what seems to be several players from the Long Island area.

The JCC Cattaraugus Campus has always had problems fielding a quality team. The program has undergone many coaching changes over the years. In fact, former Bonnie great Coach Bob Sassone, coached the JCC. Also, I don't know who the Bona coach was but I think they were hoping JCC could be a "feeder" program for SBU. Obviously, that hasn't worked out.

One final note about the JCC program. It does appear to have a problem fielding a quality team for an entire season. Many players are dropped due to poor academics or transfer out.

Friar.....Five players on the JCC came from New Rochelle HS in New Rochelle, NY. Boyd, who was injured, was a NRHS player. Coach Murphy, at NRHS, knows JR Kemp, JCC coach & was instrumental in his 5 players going to JCC.

I saw Coach Murphy last Thursday at NRHS & spoke to him about Boyd. Surprisingly, he was unaware of the incident and told me he was going to call Kemp about it.

I was representing Bona at two college fairs that day. One at NRHS in the morning & then Iona Prep in the evening. I spoke with lots of students & parents and none had ANY questions about the player incident. Essentially, this story is unknown in the NY Metro area unless someone saw it on the ESPN web page.

Funny group name. But I doubt anyone from JCC or another surrounding school would reduce themselves to Bonaventures level and go around stabbing people with screw drivers.

Sounds like u r bitter against the bball team for some reason. I'm not defending the bball team but u need to get over it and move on like everyone else on here seems to have done.
