the Schmidt koolaid is the problem moving forward. if you have any already made up in the fridge, throw it out, its rancid. if you still have packets of it in the cupboard, by all means get rid of that too !

JH....your issues with the staff are well documented. It's well known you are a Jim Baron guy but JB left for a bigger paycheck and to get out of the house of cards Wick was building with the basketball program. I think Jim would tell you that going to URI was the right move for him at the time. You have proposed home games in Buffalo and Christmas tournaments in Toronto but the numbers just don't add up with either. Now the insinuation that the staff is inept at recruiting which is very inaccurate. If you look at their signings, they have been solid...maybe not spectacular but solid. I have been told that Thomas was not academically able to qualify so what is Schmidt suppose to do if that is the case. We will have our guy's and the program will continue to evolve. Mark needs to deliver a decent recruiting class and my thinking is by September we will have that. Go Bonas!

jh Yes his ability to bring in talented kids that fit into the program has been solid...after all we did win the A10 Championship a year ago and gave Florida State a game in the NCAA's. This past season had been very up and down and the collapse against Fordham really capped off a disappointing season. Mark needs to deliver a few kids that can make the program better and it's going to happen. Your bellyaching over everything the staff does and doesn't do is also becoming legendary and predictable. Why can't you evaluate everything after the recruiting is over and the team at least has a practice or two. I believe when the September rolls around the Bonnies should be very competitive in the A10 because we have some talent but also the league is losing some top tier teams. A10 will be a wide open league and we could surprise a few people.

Mark Schmidt may be summed up in two words............Andrew Nicholson.

Mark Schmidt may be summed up in two words............Andrew Nicholson. We have a winner ladies and gentleman. Good luck convincing the apologists on here. If Schmidt was responsible for Andrew's success than wtf happened this past season? Were the players just not good enough? Then who the hell is this coach recruiting? Either he can't coach or he can't recruit, one or the other. Potentially both. Can't wait to get torched by opponents who either (a) beat us out for recruits, or (b) took recruits that our HC didn't deem worthy. It's especially satisfying when they hail from places like Buffalo and Rochester. Even better when they now star for FORDHAM, and will star for DUQUESNE. I'd like to make a quick introduction here, uhh... SBU, basement.. basement, SBU. You guys will be getting to know each other quite well I'd imagine.

west5mile - you are to be commended. You are the first to admit you are rooting for the Bonnies not only to lose games, but to get "torched" in them, in order to be able to come on here next year and say "I TOLD YOU SO!" I suspect that there are secretly many others who will not admit they take pleasure in Bonas loosing, were happy with the Fordham result, and whose only disappointment was that we did not have a losing record this year.

ceharv, give me a break. The post is drenched in sarcasm. I want us to go 29-0, but look at what's going on. We did get "torched" by a Mark Schmidt snub. Here's a question - do you see us, today, closer to another A-10 championship, or to the basement? Honest answer, not the brown and white goggle answer. I'm not the "i told you so" type, other posters know where I stand and I wouldn't do that because that's not our goal. Our goal is to win, and if this staff does just that, I and others on my side of the fence will gladly give credit.

west5mile - it matters not what I think, what you think, or what faffy444 thinks, or what the consensus of this board thinks, if there is anything that can be described as a consensus. - And there is no perceivable sarcasm in - "Can't wait to get torched by opponents who either (a) beat us out for recruits, or (b) took recruits that our HC didn't deem worthy. It's especially satisfying when they hail from places like Buffalo and Rochester. Even better when they now star for FORDHAM, and will star for DUQUESNE. You guys will be getting to know each other quite well I'd imagine. - Admit it, you're looking forward to your predictions of disaster coming true so you can prove to everyone that you were right, you were the one who saw it coming and tried to warn everyone, BUT NO ONE WOULD LISTEN!

Ceharv claiming that anyone who questions the recruiting or coaching is hoping for the Bonnies to lose is just ridiculous !! People like westmile (I have no idea who he is) have a desire to see success continue - he sees what he perceives a cliff ahead and is claiming when the 'golden goose' (Nicholson) is gone that the recruiting inefficiencies will come home to roost - so look to fix it! He is not yelling fix it because he wants them to lose - he wants to avoid the cliff ahead!

agree with jh. the recruitings been lousy, thats no secret.everyone knows recruiting has been the problem. its a positive to identify problems, not negative. now is the time to fix the problem and move forward. if it doesnt get fixed, get another coach.
