congratulations to bona recruit Ladarien Griffin for winning the Florida state championships. He was part of a good team obviously. Two teammates also going d-1, one to UCLA and the other to Illinois St. Hopefully we got the best of the three. Derrick was ejected late in the game. Those who've seen him multiple times say he has a bit of a temper on the court. I don't expect coach Schmidt to put up with that. Derrick, or Ladarien?

in that we have 2 in the fold, and it looks like a spot is being held for Alexander (maybe Kaputo also?) and we only have 4 'ships open, yet are still actively recruiting and extending offers, these JUCOs are either "just in case" KA decides against Bonas or else maybe the staff knows or strongly suspects that someone will be leaving the program this spring/summer. If so Jordan would seem to be the most likely, but who knows, maybe he's got a girl or really likes his major, his roommate or the food in the Hickey (OK, that's a stretch - anyone who's been away from campus for years and recently visited knows how much the Hick has improved recently, but it is rare that the kids there now appreciate that). But these sure look like interesting prospects, although I remain in the group that wants a shooter - and Kaputo may be that kid - looks like he's got a complete game including a nice shot he can create himself - always a plus!

Just curious in case anyone knows: what is the Florida 3A comparison to NY classification? Wondering what the level of competition is that's all. And why are the Florida playoffs over already, seems a little early especially since sectionals just kicked off in NY.

If anyone leaves my money is on Jalen. And I hope he doesn't. We desperately need to sign someone who can make an impact on offense, whether it is coming off the bench or starting.

We have 2 open ships right now with Batch, Youuuuuuu, Dees and Gathers nearing the end of their careers. Woods and Griffin are signed so that leaves 2. Just because we have offers out, doesnt mean we can stop recruiting. Kyle coming would be huge but we have to have contingencies in case he doesnt come. Im not sure why someone would need to leave?

I hope I am wrong, but I am concerned that Jalen will view Taggee's increased PT as a sign he's been by-passed in the eyes of the coaches. Hopefully he has the self-confidence to realize he's good enough to still earn a starting job.

I hope Jalen realizes that and does what he needs to do to get some PT.

AMEN to that!! Actually he grabbed 16 boards yesterday in the 85-66 win over Lamar. For his 36 points he went 13-19, 7-10 TREYS, 16 rebs, 6 assists & only 1 TO, 2 PFs, & 2 steals. SHAKIR is a stat stuffer in most games. A difficult to stop scorer from everywhere especially deep & rebounds like he is 7'. www.angelina.edu/roadrunner-basketball-tops-lamar-pa/

I really don't think anyone is transferring. Jordan broke his jaw and is red-shirting. I am guessing he will get the opportunity for playing time next year with Ndoye and Dees leaving. Jalen would have to sit out another year, after just sitting out last year. Maybe he has no problems with that.
