Javion lacks the size Youssou was blessed with but here is a comparison of their stats in their soph seasons. Youssou 21.4 mpg, 6.9 ppg, 517 FGs%, 4.9 rebs, 60 Turn Overs, 41 Blocks, 36% of Rebounds were on the offensive glass Javion 27 mpg, 9.3 ppg, 546 FG%, 4.8 rebs, 42 TurnOvers, 48 blocks, Had MORE Off Boards than Defensive (very aggressive to the glass) Great comparison WGT. First player I thought of was Paul Williams. Paul's stats were considerably worse than Javion's when he transferred from Siena. As a sophomore at Siena Paul averaged only 2.6 ppg and 2.6 rpg. At Bona Paul was a double digit scorer and would lead Bonnies in rebounds and field goal percentage for both years. statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/st-bonaventure/paul-williamsstatsheet.com/mcb/teams/st-bonaventure/players?season=2006-2007statsheet.com/mcb/teams/st-bonaventure/players?season=2005-2006

sunny and beautiful in WNY in late April? The friars must have used their influence upstairs to help with recruiting - let's hope they can help close these deals today or tomorrow

Hi guys: I'm a wvu & bona alum who follows both teams. I am hearing Wvu is not pursuing BUAY TUACH anymore. I think Bonas will get him. Good pick up.

I've heard the opposite, that Tuach is all but a done deal at WVU, and was so even before this weekend. Hoping that's not the case, but there's still the likes of VCU chirping in his ear. Can't consider this a "pick up" until pen hits the paper.

I hope they are right anyway.

They are not taking both.

Yes, that's what I'm hearing. Wvu would prefer Johnson, and if he signs then that is who they'll use for that final scholarship. If not, then Tuach may come back into the picture for wvu.

Important factors on where Buay decides to play will most likely lie on where he feels he will have the most impact and opportunity for major playing time.
Huge advantage Bona on both counts. WVA will return 4 of their top scorers. Buay is a proven shooter (62% FGS & 39% TREYS). A TREY sharpshooter from deep. WVA returns Carter, Miles & Paige who light it up from beyond the arc. Bonas need for Buay’s TREY threat is far greater. Ranked #10 in the A10 last season and having lost our best TREY shooter in Cumberbatch (36%) his value to us is extremely high.
Buay wearing the Brown and White will create a difficult to defend trio with Posley & Jay who I predict will be lights out from deep. And all 3 can take it to the iron with success.
Lots for Buay to weigh in his decision but there are some factors clearly in the favor of Bona.

None of us here seems to have any inside information. Or maybe those that do are keeping it under their hats. I guess we'll find out at the same time as the rest of the world.
