Only 2 JC & 2 freshman remain on verbal commits list for us. We should be OK, If Woods & Kaputo are available next year and we get one of the four remaining and at least one unknown. There are a lot of transfers not available for next year. We have spots for good ones that could give us a great start for next year's recruiting. If we really do have Kaputo, then optimistic that we could have a very good recruiting year next year including some more Canadians. It is likely we will not really know what we have until school starts.

my hope is that Kaputo does reclassify as a class of '15 HS grad. If he doesn't or can't, and has a bang up 2016 season he will end up at a P5 conference school. it is great that the bonnies have him wrapped up for now...hopefully the reclassifying works out.

Derhut - is the commit only good IF he reclassifies or are you concerned that with more exposure in another year in HS, and thus drawing more offers, he may not honor it?

I don't suppose there are any surprise visitors on campus this weekend, particularly those of the 7 foot variety, or even 6'10" or 11"?

Latest on Matt Mobley mentioned earlier in this thread

Mobley Looks For Right Fit
Eric Hoffses EagleAction.com
The BC staff continues to try and get players aboard this year's class and future recruiting classes. One top target is Central Connecticut State transfer Matt Mobley. As a sophomore, Mobley averaged 17.2 points per game for the Blue Devils and won the NEC's most improved player aware. Mobley also won was selected to the 2nd team All-NEC. At the end of the day Mobley was just ready to test himself more on the court and decided to transfer.
"I talked with my father and we decided it would be the best for me to move to a higher level and challenge myself with better competition to prepare me for the professional level," said Mobley.
Boston College is currently the only P5 program recruiting Mobley. He's also hearing from "Fordham, Richmond, St.Bonaventure, LaSalle, Towson and Duquense." Mobley is expected to visit Fordham on the 18th and plans on visiting BC this weekend.
So what is Mobley looking for in the school he chooses?
"I want to be able to play a lot of minutes and showcase my ability to score. I want to be able to play through mistakes. Most importantly I want to win some games," said Mobley.
Mobley also chimed in on what makes BC appealing to him.
"It's the ACC. That's the best conference in the country and that's a plus. I'm from Massachusetts and it's close to home so my family could come to all of the home games. It's a great academic school too and that's what makes it so special," said Mobley.
Mobley also added that he is being recruited by Preston Murphy and the two have a solid relationship.
If the Eagles were able to land Mobley they would be getting some much needed scoring punch in areas where they lacked last season. Mobley shot a respectable 36% from three point range last year and made the 11th most treys in the conference. An underrated part of Mobley's game is his ability to get the free throw line. Mobley attempted 156 free throws last year, which was more than any player on the Eagles roster. Mobley did a good job converting on those attempts too, as he shot 75.6% from the line.

Anybody hear anything about a big man? How did visit go with JP from Marshall? I posted highlight reel, although his numbers don't jump out at you he shows a versatile offensive game for a 6'9 PF.

Thanks brownindian11 for the youtube clip, Kambola is certainly another shot blocker. I will miss Ndoye's shot blocking ability, he could bring the fans to their feet and lift the teams energy level with his rejections. Kambola would be a great replacement for Ndoye, but will he bring the enthusiam and hustle that our ex-center had? I think Kambola would be a great pick up for the Bonnies. What does everybody else think, and know about Kambola?

i think kambola would be fine. he wouldnt be a star, but rather a serviceable athlete at center @ 6-9 240. as long as he could defend and rebound, score a few points he would be good. i believe bona recruited him a bit a few years ago. hes a toronto kid.

I think Kambola would be a great pick up for the Bonnies. What does everybody else think, and know about Kambola? I agree Kambola would be a great signing. For just this upcoming season Kambola would be a better player for the Bonnies than Kyle Alexander. Kambola is a man with an NBA body. There is no upside to wait for. Last year he shared the starting position at Marshall, but he was the guy for the last 10 games. Kambola scored double digits in 7 of his last 10 games and more than doubed the other center in points and rebounds during these 10 games. Kambola is also a really good shot blocker. A 6'9" 245 pound athletic man, who excels in rebounding and interior defense is exactly what the Bonnies need. Kambola is from Toronto. Was a 3 star recruit out of prep school. Has 1 year of immediate eligibilty as he would be a grad student. Sat out 1 year at Marshall, because of eligibility issues. www.herdzone.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/jp_kambola_773554.htmlstatsheet.com/mcb/players/player/marshall/jp-kambola/game_statsstatsheet.com/mcb/players/player/marshall/cheikh-sane/game_stats

I would think DION would be very happy to see JP here, KAMBOLA would take alot of pressure of DION making him even more effective. Another plus if KAMBOLA comes is if the staff lands a 4 year center, limited minutes could help a developing freshman center and practising against an experienced big man would only help also.
