First off, great job by the staff to land another PG and really get this team in good shape for this year and the next few. I cant wait for Gary to get tongue tied with these Adams kids. The 2015, Jalen Adams 3.0, is a highly sought recruit and it would be a coup if we ended up with him. Our connection there is 2014 committ Taqqee is his teammate. Another teammate, Kaleb Joseph is going to Syracuse so they also have the pipeline. I would be shocked if Jalen 3 came here but you never know. I was excited about next season's team early this season and now that excitement has jumped a notch. Next year could be a big year in the Southern Tier

If we do this right over the next year or two, we could end up with a whole starting five with the same name. Get on this, Schmidty!

Choosing to play for the reigning National Champs, over Bonas and a line-up of Jalen Adams, Jalen Adams and Jaylen Adams ?
I just don't understand kids nowadays.
That would have been very cool.

After watching open runs I've came to the conclusion that Jaylen could be a great player for us. He knows how to score he is a great scorer off the dribble and has great range. He is also a good playmaker. He tends to take poor shots here and there but he's got a lot of time to learn. Don't be surprised if this kid turns into an all conference player by the time he's a senior.

Remember when there was a discussion on who should be the starting point guard? Seems silly now. Yesterday Jaylen tied a team record with his 14 assisted, which he'll share with Marques Green. Also, with his 15 points Jaylen moves to 17 on the all-time scoring list as a true freshman! His 183 points puts him ahead of players like Shandue McNeill, Glenn Hagan, Marques Green, and Michael Burnett. Next up are Michael Lee (186), Norman Clarke (188), and Earl Belcher (191)!
Prorating his 10.8 average over the next 13 games would leave Jaylen at 323 points, good for 5th. Ahead of Mark Jones (308).

Jaylen is doing a good job, but you have to admit he misses the quickness / ability to penetrate like S. McNeill, M. Green, and T. Winn... They were also very good at stealing the ball... I am currently happy with Jaylen... I watched the game last night.... Without Posley we would be DEAD... Schmidt needs to recruit better since our BENCH is bad!

Schmidt needs to recruit better since our BENCH is bad! he's only a freshman... of course he doesn't steal the ball and penetrate like those guys yet, he might grow into that with time. I'm truly amazed at his ability to protect the ball for a freshman. And he has a nice shot to boot.. And he's a savvy passer. Last night second half he had the ball and they were running a play when he quick saw Youssou open under the basket and changed the play to throw a fast ball pass right to Youssou for the slam. That's how senior PGs play - - not freshman. I am so excited to watch this kid develop here.

Yea maybe, but he just isn't as quick as them.... not sure if that will change too much.. Yes he protects the ball well.... The problem is the rest of those recruits just don't look that great.... There is a huge issue with depth/talent on this team... I stated yesterday that it is always nice to win, but lets not get too excited. The best team we beat was Buffalo/ we have a lot of bad losses .... I realize our budget is 120 - 140 (not sure exactly..), but our SOS is 277 in the country/ we have 6 losses... It we played SOS 100-140 how many more losses would we have? Our bright spot is a JUCO player/ adams who is a nice pg... Can Schmidt take away scholarships from players who he feels aren't good enough? I am not sure if they have to leave to go to another school.... just wondering.... Lets see how we do against URI/Lasalle..... Hopefully we can play well enough to convince a SOLID recruit to come to SBU next year...

did someone piss in your coffee? its friday you ass... relax.
The Bonnies have an exciting A 10 road win and in a thread about an exciting frosh PG you feel the need to bring in the same tired routine about budget, recruiting, scheduling, etc??? what a punk ass
Anything else you want to cry about? Rob/Fal is getting kind of old. Maybe we can cry about that in a thread about Jaylen Adams- - because you know, it makes just as much sense

Yes the won/ yes it is good to always win. Should I be excited? The Dukes are a very bad a10 (RPI 249). J. Adams has been playing well.... I just commented on the BIG PICTURE of where we are going.... I just made a statement regarding our bench.... I also said beat URI/Lasalle and if we win a few more games we might be able to convince a bigger RECRUIT to commit..... JUST RELAX BIG GUY!
