Promising quote from the Siena board, of all places! QUINTON ROSE is quoted as saying: "St. Bonaventure: I played with the team on the St. Bonaventure visit. That really showed me that I need to get stronger. St. Bonaventure is also close to home, so that is nice."

kc: Did Zaephel (sp?) graduate? Who will McQ have guard Rose? The Iglesia kid would be almost a foot shorter! Other BK games to note: 1/6 UPrep and 2/17 @uprep. Although he'll give away a lot of height to Rose, Simken is a nice PG. 1/21 at Fairport will be interesting to see how young Mr. Masino will match up on him. The best matchup might have been in Buffalo on 12/16 vs Canisius HS but isn't Washington prepping out of state somewhere.

To be honest, I havent seen McQuaid play in 3-4 years, crazy as that sounds. I dont know much about their team right now. Rose should be a matchup problem for most, if not all of his opponents. UPrep has had a decent team last couple seasons so they might be able to give him a battle. Washington left Canisius so who knows what they have at PG. Most of the rosters have not been posted yet on the section 5 site. www.sectionvbasketball.com/

Huge game last night from Bona target Travis Atson at South Kent. He had 31 and put on a clinic during the game. We now have a ton of company for his services. Glad we were in very early.

Suggest anyone into recruiting like me look at Travis's Twitter feed and check out some of the recent raves posted by recruiting services. Also follow the links to videos of sinks on 7 footers, Travis beating his man with slick behind-the- back moves etc. his recruiting has officially blown up and Xavier, DePaul, Duquesne and a bunch of others have offered or come calling.
Last year I was concerned Ttavis was a 'tweener " - at 6'4" + he was a tremendous offensive rebounder (called the best in Nyc) and being being played strictly in the front court. He did fine - outplaying some top 50 forwards 4 inches taller than him at the Bass Pro Shop Tourny, but I questioned whether he had the ball skills and shot to play the 2 in college in a top conference. Well he's now 6'5" and stronger, hits the 3 consistently, beats his man off the dribble hits the mid-range jumper and still gets offensive rebounds like a beast. And often brings down the house with monster dunks over bigs. Much better player than he was last year and I believe will b able to play at the highest level The staff was in on hi m early. I hope they have maintained contact He's a solid kid from a good family with good academics
Sent from my phone so I apologize for any errors. Fat finger issues.

Saw Rose play last night. Only stayed for the first half since McQ was going to get blown out. They must have been missing some players, had a few kids on the bench in shirts and ties. Anyway, Rose didnt light up the scoreboard as he only scored 7 but the kid is real smooth with the ball. Its almost effortless how he gets up and down the court. He had 2 dunks off dribble drives where it looked like he barely jumped. He's listed at 6'5 and that is accurate. He has a huge wing span (Jay Bilas just blushed)and he is rail thin but most HS Juniors are. I liked his game. He passed the ball and stayed in the flow of the offense. Didnt see him shoot many jumpers, why shoot when you can get to the rack? I think he definitely has talent and with some time in the weight room he could be a good get for us.

Mamadou and Hamadou to go with Jaylen Adams and Jalen Adams? Is Schmidt trolling this board? Are any of the Congers available?

Nelson Kaputo Dec 29 2014 article video mix tape www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=O5g_LR5AhTANelson Kaputo opened it up for SMC and Carr took off from there. Kaputo also had himself an excellent night registering a double-double that included 16 points, 10 assists to go with his four rebounds and five steals. Carr commented on the team’s willingness to get all their pieces involved. “We play for each other, there’s no selfish egos, when one guy get’s hot we ride with him and keep feeding him the ball and try to get him good looks. Nelson was able to do that for me and Nik tonight.” The team is executing like never before. Even the guys coming off the bench are trusted by the starters which has instilled in confidence all around. The SMC Blue Raiders have won over American fans as well. In a conversation with some of the other coaches in this tournament they voiced their sentiments toward Canada’s team as well. “I prefer that all my guys come in and watch St. Michael’s not only because we may run into them in this tournament but also to watch their chemistry and accountability.” Coaches from the NCAA rallied in to watch this game. Binghamton, Albany and Canisius are all interested in Nelson Kaputo, but the front-runner up until now has been St. Bonaventure, who has a history of recruiting in Canada.

JH thank you for all the recruiting news. Amazing the difference Jerome Robinson has made with recruiting Canadian players.
