Having attended many college fairs on behalf of SBU, I think the most important point is the 76% receiving some amount of grant in aid. Many parents and students say "Why would I leave the mid-atlantic region to pay that much for school?"
3/4 getting money has to be a very high ratio when compared nationally, and this ranking is an illustration of it.
"Imagine near guaranteed employment or graduate studies in your child's future for less than $19,000 a year." What overbearing parent is going to say no to that?
