Don't get me wrong. I am largely in agreement with you. However, Sr's availability for a tournament game is far from my top concern. If I were in her office, basketball would drive many decisions. I would much rather see the calendar be more in sync with the basketball season. Why aren't students given a long weekend in the middle of hoops season for mid-term rather than a full week. The long Spring break would be better around A10 time. Then let individual students decide to go home, go south, participate in bona responds or go to the tourney. Something seems wrong with "spring" break in Feb. and only a couple of days at Easter at St. Bonaventure. We need the kids in the RC as much as possible. I am more concerned with the students being at games not Sr. Margaret. She can create a home court advantage much more with her action than with her presence at games. Clearly the administration listened to you. Here is the academic calendar: sbu.edu/docs/default-source/Registrar/2014-2015-academic-calendarC11BD5C59362.pdf?sfvrsn=0Note that there is no break in February. Mid-term break is March 7-15. So, the students can decide to go home, go South, participate in Bona Responds, or go to the tourney. Senior night on March 7th against Fordham will likely be impacted by the students' absence, but the long Spring break is during A-10 tourney time.
