From Brown Indian to Seminole, I have been honored to coach Roberto Aguayo. Last year I was invited and attended the Lou Groza Foundation Kicker of the Year dinner in which Roberto was the 2013 winner. This weekend, I attended the FSU vs Clemson game with the Aquayo Family with Roberto nailing a 50 yard field goal to put FSU on the board and honored on ESPN Gameday this weekend. FSU fan or not, with all the controversy going on in the NCAA and NFL, Roberto is truly a positive representative to the sport. There was a 15 minute clip on ESPN Gameday and they will also be playing the full segment this week. It truly is a great segment of a true and sincere kid. ESPN will also be doing an article in print this week. Kind of ironic, as a soccer and football coach, in his younger years asked if SBU had a football team. Guess my brown and white seems to bleed in a lot of things I do. Bottom line, if there is someone to root for in a sport SBU does not have, Roberto is one that were going to see in years to come.
