Myself, Vinny, Shane and Chris DiSano (An A10 expert outsider), completed a chart that had us pick every game of the season and ultimately, come up with a final record for the Bonnies this year. We hope you'll give it a quick read over and leave some comments with your picks for how many wins our boys are looking at this season....check back next week for more content and thanks again for reading our work, we hope you're enjoying it! thebonablog.wordpress.com/

if everyone is as hyped as seems, these predictions seem low. we basicly did that last year.

I think it's going to take some time to get over the losses of Kloof who was one of the best PG's in the entire league and Wright who was a top 5 scorer in the league. That said, I do think this team can eventually fill those roles. Just think it's tough to call a 20 win season given our vast unknowns on the roster and the addition of two league games a year.

If Ndoye becomes the senior force he is capable of (and I mean he controls his temper and reactions), and the rest of the team weaves with the JC transfers and sophs, we will be a 20 win team, barring injuries. Ndoye, Gathers, Gregg, the Adams family, Posey and company will be key. It will be exciting to see this team in action. Go Bonas! NIT - Yes, NCAA - Possibly.

We hope you'll give it a quick read over and leave some comments with your picks for how many wins our boys are looking at this season....check back next week for more content and thanks again for reading our work, we hope you're enjoying it! thebonablog.wordpress.com/ Following is my prediction for the season (comments made for Bona Blog's split decision games). Non conference 8-3 W Dartmouth L Siena - Got hot winning 9 of their last 11 games along with winning CBI Tournament. Siena returns it's entire starting lineup. W Canisius W Jackson St. W Niagara @ Buffalo W Buffalo - lost 3 starters 2 of them their leading scorers. AP's Honorable Mention All American and MAC's POY Javon McCrea is tough to replace. L @ Ohio L @ Pittsburgh W @ Binghamton W MD-Eastern Shore W @ Delaware - At CAA media day Delaware was picked 8th. They have only 1 returning starter. Conference games 11-7 L @ UMass - even without Chaz Williams, a win on the road against a 24 win team would be difficult. L Dayton - return of 2 all conference players (Sibert and Pierre) on a team that made it to the Elite 8 is a likely loss. L @ Richmond W George Mason W Saint Josephs W @ Duquesne - lost only 1 starter (Ovie Soko), but he led A-10 in scoring. L @ Rhode Island W La Salle - lost 3 starters. At home this should be a win. W @ Davidson L VCU - I do not see any way the Bonnies can beat VCU. I hope I'm wrong. Doubt VCU loses 4 A-10 games like last year. W UMass - a team they lose to on the road, but wins at home. L @ Dayton W Richmond W @ Saint Joseph’s - lost 3 starters (2 are their leading scorers) and do they have anyone that can matchup with Youssou? L @ George Washington W Duquesne W @ Saint Louis - lost their entire starting lineup. W Fordham Overall record of 19-10.

Well I'll give it an old college try for my predictions.
Dartmouth- This game will be trickier than people expect, Dartmouth has some decent players coming back, but still a win 1-0 Siena- A close game that we will pull out bc we are at home 2-0 Canisius- Billy Baron is gone 3-0 Jackson St. 4-0 Niagara- game is at FNC, which is always a million times better than their sweaty gymnasium 5-0 Buffalo- We benefit from playing the Bulls at home and McCrea is gone 6-0 @ohio- This game will be closer than the spread indicates, I say the Bonnies cover but lose a close one 6-1 @pitt- We will play well for one half but lose it in the second half 6-2 @binghamton- Good thing Binghamton is pretty bad bc we have nothing to gain with this game, we win but don't cover 7-2 Md-Eastern Shore 8-2 @delaware- the Blue Hens lost a lot from their NCAA team last year 9-2 @umass- we always seem to start out with a tough A10 schedule 9-3 (0-1) Dayton- I was hoping this would be the Rochester game 9-4 (0-2) @richmond- tough environment 9-5 (0-3) George Mason- The Rochester crowd helps us break our losing streak 10-5 (1-3) St. Joe's- The Hawks don't have a solid 6 man team this year (Martelli only plays 6 players) 11-5 (2-3) @duquesne- we revenge our game from last year at the Palumbo Center 12-5 (3-3) @uri- I would like nothing more than a victory against Hurley, but we come up short 12-6 (3-4) La Salle- I personally always feel the Explorers are overrated 13-6 (4-4) @davidson- The Charlotte alum help us to victory 14-6 (5-4) VCU- going to the most exciting game of the year and the RC will be rocking but we come up short 14-7 (5-5) UMass- we beat the Minutemen at home last year, why not again this year 15-7 (6-5) @dayton- I don't remember ever winning here 15-8 (6-6) Richmond- RC helps us pull out a victory 16-8 (7-6) @st. Joe's - Stupid hawk helps the Martelli's win in Hagen Arena 16-9 (7-7) @gw- DC alum try to will us to victory but the Colonials have too much talent 16-10 (7-8) Duquesne- the only way the Dukes win is if Micah Mason hits 11 3s 17-10 (8-8) @st.Louis- Who wins in a fight a St.Francis tamed wolf or a goofy looking ghost 18-10 (9-8) Fordham 19-10 (10-8)- I won't be a happy camper if we blow this game again 19-10 (10-8)

Hey guys! New member here. Been following this message board for a few years now. Decided it was time I joined the fun. I'm really excited for this season. Here are my early season predictions for the Bonnies. Non-conference (8-3) W-Dartmouth- Looking for an opening day win for the Bonnies L- Siena- They return way to much experience. Our boys will still be trying to figure out they're roles. If this game was a bit later in the season I'd be more inclined to give us the win. W- Canisius- We get back on track here W- Jackson St.- We get our second straight win as Schmidt starts to figure out a consistent lineup. W- Niagara @ buffalo- Antoine Mason (the nation's leading scorer last year) is off to Auburn. We will be too much for Niagara. W- Buffalo- This will be a close one. I can see us dropping this game if we don't come to play. L- @ohio- The Bonnies first trip out of the state will result in a close loss L- @pitt- I truly believe we will have a chance in this game. Pitt is without it's two best players from last season. Yet, they're home-court advantage may be too tough for us to overcome. W- @binghamton- We get back on track with a big road victory here. W- MD Eastern Shore- Hoping we don't overlook anyone, but this should be a W here. W- @delaware- Delaware is losing a decent amount of talent from last years tournament team. We get a big road win and some momentum heading into conference play.
Conference (9-9) L- @umass- Tough game here. We keep it close, but lose our first conference game. W- Dayton- Huge win here for the Bonnies. I think Dayton takes a step back this season after last year's magical NCAA tournament run. They lose a few key players. L- @richmond- Another tough road loss for the Bonnies. Richmond will have a solid team this year. I'm not sure we have someone who can stop Kendall Anthony. W- George Mason- Bonnies respond with a nice win here. George Mason loses their top two scorers from last season. W- St. Joe's- Deandre Bembry could be a one man wrecking crew, but he can't do it alone. Bonnies win here. L- @duquesne- We're bound to drop a few we shouldn't this season, and this is one. L- @ Rhode Island- I believe Rhode Island is going to be much improved this year. E.C. Matthews is one of the best players in the conference and they have the size down low to disrupt Ndoye. W- La Salle- This will be a close game. Jerrell Wright is returning. He will be a load in the post, but Bonnies get the win. W- @ Davidson- Davidson has some nice players returning, but I think they will struggle in their first year in the A-10 L- VCU- I would love nothing more than a Bonnies victory here, but I just don't see it. These guys are loaded. W- Umass- We get some revenge here against the minutemen. They lose some key pieces from last years team, we capitalize at home. L- @dayton- Although I think they take a step back this season, I don't think we beat them twice this year. Flyers get the win. L- Richmond- I went back and forth on this one. The home court advantage should help us out here, but I think we fall in a close one. L- @ St. Joe's- I think we hit a rough patch here. St Joe's loses a lot of guys from last year, but I think they catch us looking ahead to GW L- @ George Washington- Toughest part of our schedule ends with a loss on the road. GW has some nice returning players from an NCAA tournament team. W- Duquesne- We finally get back on track with a big win at home. Home games against the lower half of the conference are games we must win if we are to make some noise this year. W- @ St. Louis- They lose almost everyone who mattered from their loaded team last year. I think we have a big day on the road. W- Fordham- This is a game we can't lose. Jon Severe will be coming into town looking to do some damage. He may, but we will shut the rest of the team down in a big win for the Bonnies. Overall Record (17-12)
I am very excited to see how this team will do this year. I think we have a much depth as I can remember on this team. We have a brutal stretch in our conference schedule starting with VCU. If we can keep our heads afloat during that stretch I think we have a realistic chance of finishing in the top 8 of the conference. We have three winnable games at close the season. If we can capitalize on those games and head into the conference tournament with some momentum, I think we can make some noise. Can't wait for this season to get started!

Chuck - like your picks. But I say we don't lose to Siena at home this year. And I think Dayton at home and RI away are two games we could steal.

Without predicting wins, I will say that I'm more excited about this team's potential going into the season, than I was about last year's team before that season. I think we should do better, but how much better is hard to say without at least seeing one game with the new guys.

It's of little significance until we actually start the season but Kenpom has us ranked 107th: kenpom.com/

I agree with Chuck, have us at 19-10 (10-8). I do think we beat Dayton at home and split with Duquesne.
Fordham is the last ranked A10 team at 154 in KenPom. Not too bad as a conference. This is why you dont go out and kill yourself in the non conference. The A10 play will take care of the computer numbers.

OOC is very weak. Average Kenpom rating of the eleven opponents is 212. The only one even close to the top 100 is Pitt, which rates way up there at 23. Even if the Bonnies go 10-1 in the OOC they'll still be flying under the radar.

Even if the Bonnies go 10-1 in the OOC they'll still be flying under the radar. Based on Kenpon alone, the projection would be: 10-1 + 6-12 = 16-13 but anything less than a conference record of 9-9 would be disappointing. With all our new players the out of conference schedule is ideal for the team to develop in time to handle the difficult conference schedule. The league is down some on top from last year. The battle for 5th-14th should be very wide open.

Kenpom has us at 15-14 (8-10) for the whole season at this point. If you went game by game with Kenpom it would be 15-14 (6-12).

We lose @ Ohio, Pitt, UMASS, Dayton, St.Joes, GW, Richmond, and at home to VCU...that leaves us 21-8...we lose the A10 championship game...then surprise with 1 win in NCAAs...BOOK IT
