Jordan has tweeted that he is now a proud graduate of the SBU Journalism and Mass Communications program. Congratulations to him. I assume he will be enrolling in a graduate program at SBU and this has no bearing on his basketball eligibility. Is that correct?

Congratulations to Jordan......he communicates well, and has the attibutes to be a basketball announcer.....does a great job as the "color guy" for women's basketball. What it can mean if he sits out this year and has one year of eligibility is that he can transfer to another Div 1 school and be eligibld to play immediately.

I hope Jordan is going to follow in the steps of the late GREAT LA Lakers announcer Chick Hearn. If you have time click on to this link and listen to some of has one liners i.e. the Popcorn machine, the game is in Refrigerator Kareem's Sky hook, and my favorite " da Magic man -- he got eyes all around his head ". www.abbaroo.com/lakers/chick.htmlGood luck Jordann because I'll say it again ---" I thought you would never come to St Bonaventure " I was wrong and look at you now --- you've Graduated !!! Best of Luck on your life's journey.

It wouldnt shock me if Gathers did that. Hopefully he is ready to go soon and can contribute this season.

Now we have the official announcement of Jordan leaving the program, but much remains unsaid as to what transpired from the time he tweeted about his graduation until now. I would like to know more. Was the program aware that his early graduation might have an impact on his continued participation in the basketball program? Obviously, this leaves us one scholarship short of our regulatory limit. When will it be filled?

It will be filled this off season like we always intended. He was a Sr and coming off the books no matter what unless he red shirted. The press release indicates Jordan left the program. we will not know the reason why right away but I think in time it will come out.
