David Jablonski @davidpjablonski now26 seconds ago Dayton, OH Junior forwards Devon Scott and Jalen Robinson dismissed from Dayton men's basketball team, according to UD. Gary Parrish @garyparrishcbs 40 seconds ago RT wh iotv: BREAKING: Devon Scott and Jalen Robinson have been dismissed from Dayton’s team. Archie Miller expected to comment soon. Gary Parrish @garyparrishcbs 2 minutes ago The Dayton players are still in school but dismissed from the team, effective immediately. No chance they return, a source told @cb SSports. Well, this really sucks for the A10. Dayton was probably going to be an NCAA team but now they dont have a single player over 6'6 and will have a real tough time in conference play. It is good for us since we have 2 games with them and potential to win both now. Someone needs to step up and join VCU as the top tier, get to it Bonnies! EDIT: Forgot to add it is a trespassing/burglary incident on campus.

It's bad but there is something to take away from it for the A10.... The RPI treats all games equally and this happens near the end of OOC play. As a result, Dayton has made the conference look strong against other conferences and if they don't perform well in conference it helps raise the other programs in the conference. It makes it look like the A10 schedule was harder, for Dayton, than their non-conference slate.
For SBU it is even better with two meetings with Dayton. Just win them.

It brings to mind something else Bona fans have to be grateful for and that is Mark Schmidt's coaching staff keeping our student-athletes academically eligible and out of legal trouble.

If the offense was as mentioned, how are they even staying in school?

You gotta think that stuff like this wouldnt happen as much if these guys received compensation. If compensation ever happens it better come from the deep pockets of the NCAA. If the individual schools were forced to do it then little schools like SBU, or for that matter most schools in non-Power conferences, could not afford it and the big schools would be the last ones standing.

I couldn't agree with you more but what I've heard is that the NCAA might pass an attendance legislation where playes all over the country would receive the same amount every year and the money would come from school ticket sales, concessions at games, etc.
