I couldn't agree with you more but what I've heard is that the NCAA might pass an attendance legislation where playes all over the country would receive the same amount every year and the money would come from school ticket sales, concessions at games, etc. So the deep pocketed NCAA puts this on the backs of fans who buy tickets, hot dog sales, etc,? Great, so SBU, et al , raise ticket prices to pay student athletes chasing away even more fans, hot dog sales drop proportionately & on & on & on.

Exactly the NCAA says they are a "non profit" organization but their headquarters in Indy are state of the art and Mark Emmertt makes over a million every year

It would be interesting to see how this is handled. Would this be taxable income? Would there be time clocks for athletes, classes, study halls, practice etc. As paid employees nothing would be exempt. Imagine if scholarships started to be taxed to athletes, with college costs being what they are they have it pretty good. Those athletes looking for pay, are probably the ones using college as a minor league and won't use/get a degree.
