Per JP Butler, Gathers will not return to the team. He has graduated and moved on?

He has graduated, but he physically has not moved on as yet. He did the girls game for SBU-TV last night. I hope he has the opportunity to play next year for either us or another team. He is truly a "fine young man".

Something about this seems very strange. Is he physically unable to play again? If he is able, why not @ SBU?

If this is indeed true, maybe the staff should be proactive and offer former UB signee DEYSHONEE MUCH from Rochester. I don't believe DEYSHONEE ever played for UB but there is a possibility that he could be eligible immediately.

I was fully expecting no gathers this year because hips are not an easy recovery

If I had to bet money he is going to transfer somewhere out west bc he can play immediately if he goes to a grad program which is not offered at SBU

I did not expect him to play this year. I had hoped for a red shirt to play next year.
Jordan was a model student athlete of the highest character.
Will always remember his play as a soph, feeding Drew inside & last year's Barclay's Game winning Trey.
Just a wonderful person. Will miss him a lot!

Agreed a real class act and always played his heart out for us. That shot to beat St. Louis is something I'll never forget. God Bless Jordan as he continues he's good journey.
