Lose to Pitt and you look at the positives. Lose to UMES and it is all negative. When you schedule a weak out of conference line up you are setting yourself up for a bad loss. This was bound to happen guy's when you schedule schools from weak conferences. The RPI will take a nose dive off this loss. Last check we were 122 before this loss.

RPI was probably not a concern for Bona before this game. It is certainly not now.

res...it should be a major concern for this program going forward. Every D1 program is gauged by it. Whoever put this out of conference schedule together needs to hand the reigns over to someone else. The first 10 games of this schedule are a joke and now we lose at home to one of the weaker teams. Does anyone really have any idea whether this team is really any good? Based on who we have played it is a guess. You get what you asked to get. I hope our new AD has some heavy input regarding the scheduling. Mark likes to build wins off of weak opponents. That is very clear.

I am always getting killed for being NEGATIVE, but come on.......
We aren't very good...
Two HOME loses against BAD teams....
I mean WAKE up guys...
I wish someone would just admit this is a mediocre team..... they don't have enough talent...

Who knows what we are nyc...VCU beat these guy's by 40. The game was not even listed on the Vegas lines. I am very confused by what I saw tonight. As I mentioned earlier this month. Instead of UMES why not Maryland. Would have been a lot easier to swallow.

You don't gain from playing bad teams.... The guys aren't even excited playing those games... Why not Maryland? The program is afraid of challenges...... don't you think?

I have been beating that drum for a long time. Take the check and play the tougher games on the road. We can use the experience and the $$.

The RPI doesn't look at who you beat or who you lost to but rather the collective schedule. Beating Buffalo and losing to UMES would be the same as losing to Buffalo and beating UMES.

At the end of the day its a horrible lose.
Does anyone know why we continue to play a weak out of conference schedule?
Under coach Jim B. we played a better out of conference schedule. In addition we got much better players....

My point, bd, is that Bona is not going to get an at-large. That ship was already leaking in port and now has sailed. RPI, to me, is otherwise meaningless.

When will the new RPI come out? As I look at the RPI's on TeamRankings this morning I see the Bonnies at 181. As I briefly scan the list I see these: --George Mason at 182 --Niagara at 175 --Maryland Eastern Shore at 172 --Massachusetts-Lowell at 136 --Saint Joe's at 121 --Canisius at 103 I feel like the boy Abe Lincoln once described, who said after stubbing his toe that it hurt too bad to laugh and he was too big to cry. Nevertheless, I wish the merriest possible Christmas to the entire Bona organization and all my fellow diehard Bonnie fans.

You're better off looking at Sagarin or Kenpom until at least mid January.

Speaking of kenpom (and at the risk of getting bd going), I notice that Bona's SOS has slipped to #331 this morning, with only 314-ranked Delaware left.
