Today is the day if ladies are to turn this season around and build something for next season. Umass is struggling and a good opportunity for our ladies to gain some much needed confidence. Would like to see Outlaw start as she has more offensive upside than Michaels. Don't want to beat up on Emily but she's a luxury we can't afford. We need all the offense we can generate. How about Healy, Little, Rueter, Ruff and Outlaw as are starting five today. Drummond should be first off the bench as she can score points in bunches. If Healy stays out of foul trouble and Ruff and Rueter can hit some outside shots we should be able to get a victory today.

Anything above 22% from 3pt--we have a chance!
Seriously, I think Drummond has to get more time. They need a third/fourth scorer. The defense will come.

marylandbonnie1....Agree on more time for frosh Drommond. Increasing her 8 mins a game ahould provide more scoring.
Her 29-54 shooting represents the team's best shooting by a wde margin (54%). And she is active on D making steals & an effective rebounder.
Last time out we defended Pierre-Louis well. If we can do that again and curtail Timbillo's board play our chances of a road win are good.

Up 32-24 at half. Katie leading the way with 8. Like just 3 TOs to their 9.
The trey ball is just not there for this team. Up 8 while making 2 of 13 trey attempts.

Hannah Little suspended for 2nd time this season. Hope this doesn't turn into a situation similar to Cece Dixon and Doris Ortega with them leaving the team.

Oh my, w/r/t Hannah Little. Her first suspension came after her career high scoring vs. Dayton. Then, her absence likely caused the loss to George Mason. Can't imagine her purposely disregarding a team policy!

Hate to say it but lady bonnies offense looked more under control today. Granted they finally started to hit some 3 pointers but only 9 turnovers today. That may be their fewest turnovers all season. Ladies need Hannah Little but she needs to get her focus off and on the court.

Was at the game today...2nd half Bonnies looked much better. That long ride back to campus will be much sweeter [ especially after I stashed 2 dozen cupcakes with the bus driver]

Up 8 while making 2 of 13 trey attempts. bonnies were 6-9 in 2nd half (4 by nyla)...bonnies had 8 3s for the game...will need that many at fordham thursday...only 9 turnovers for the game...another stat where we need similar performance vs the rams...

I hope McKenna Haycock can make the transition from small school HS to D-I college ball. It won't be easy, but from what I've heard she has the work ethic and talent. It will be a true challenge for her come next season.

Hannah’s 2nd suspension raises concerns. Hopefully she gets her act together since she is an integral part of this team.
Today the team didn’t miss a beat without her. In the 2nd half the treys FINALLY started to fall (6-9). Nyla plays well in UMASS & went for 22 on 8-15 shooting. Katie was solid with 14 pts on 6-11.
Congrats to Gabby who had her best game in a very long time (maybe ever). 18 pts on 4-5 & 10-10 from the stripe with 12 boards to top it off.
This game was huge to restore some confidence. Winning on the road by 20 pts without your best rebounder, best shooter & 2nd best scorer is quite an achievement. We were up by 26 and cruising when Coach Crowley played reserves & took the foot off the pedal. I'm sure they delighted in those cupcakes. Winning is sweet!
Look foward to seeing them at Rose Hill on Wed with some Arthur Ave Canolies.

It will be a true challenge for her come next season. unless there's a complete turnaround the rest of the season from what so far has been an underwhelming performance, i think there's gonna be some openings for the starting 5 next year and, if ms maycock is as good as all the reports seem to suggest, she may get a long look from coach crowley as one of his starters...
