the real team leader of this group hurt his hip and then graduated. gathers would have made a significant difference this year.

If you set rules, you have to enforce them and if you start making exceptions for "stars" or starters you risk loosing all control. Hell, he sat him for 4 minutes, so not even a quarter of the game, Posely has to get over that. Plus he therafter played the whole game and he looked engaged in the game, it's not like he was moping around out there - he's a shooter who had an off night. It does not necessarily follow it was because he didn't start. Shooters sometimes have off nights and he has had a couple in a row, not coincidentally against teams that have good defensive guards. Don't over analyze!
It sure would help if Jay Adams would re-discover his shot or if guys who are not 3 point specialists would accept that fact and stay within what they do best - follow Dion's lead with that!

For all the talk on discipline here, its worth noting that Posley's punishment was 4:55 on the bench to start a game. He finished the game with 32 minutes, a whopping 2.9 minutes below his season average. He was probably late to a meeting or some similar minor issue. And I'm guessing he was late by a matter of minutes, rather than blowing the meeting off entirely.

Posley was involved on the bench at the beginning of the game cheering on his teammates. I think everyone is blowing this out of proportion. He has had a couple of off nights in a row. He is in a slump. It happens. Especially when you play 2 of the top defensive teams in the conference. I think he gets his shot back against Davidson.

I sat across from the bench on Saturday and kept an eye on a few of the guys. I saw a supportive team. Tyson was involved clapping a few times after plays. I hear Jalen is a quiet guy who keeps to himself and he was at least engaged on the bench. I agree with gdub on Posley. He wasnt sulking and I dont think getting benched for 4 min was the deciding factor in his poor game. LaSalle defended him well. He has a reputation around the league now so teams are going to try and take him out of the game.
