Bobby Gonzalez and Mike Rice have had their names mentioned on the radio as two candidates for the Fordham job. The saga of the RHG continues and the more I look at things I think Jim Baron will be offered this job. It just makes too much sense. He turned Canisius around in 3 years to a solid MAAC program. He has proven A10 success and has NYC roots. I am sure he would love to get back to the A10. If I am Fordham I am bringing him in and signing him up.

Dobber that would be great - have they started mentioning Baron's name as a possibility?

OHS 73 -- miller is 36 years old...contract extensions don't mean squat..he will be moving up an on very soon...just like hurley at UB--the hurleys and the millers share similar stories..dads who coached - hurley at UB and URI have built it and so far, are clean..same with the two miller bros. Any AD would pay thru the nose for any of these 4..

I'm also sure Baron would like to get back to the A-10. He knows the A-10 well. Therefore, he also knows Fordham well. He may not want to sign onto that ship.

Jim was at Bonas when I was there. At this point in his career, I think he would take the challenge in a minute. I have heard that the 300 plus that show up to see the Griffs home games is not a big incentive for him to stay there. He gets Fordham straightened out, the RHG could pack in 3000 plus. Actually be an improvement over Koessler gym. I think he would be very interested and the money isn't bad. We will see. Probably a long shot at best.

According to C B S SPORTS, DEPAUL will be announcing David Lietao as new head coach. BTW FORDHAM is reportedly only offering $500K per yr for their HC job, $200K less than what Pecora got his 1st year in 2010.

what did he say that wasn't true? Vaccaro is a Richard - ask him if he has put his St Bonas ring back on yet? Then ask him why we dont read any syracuse journalists throwing their alma mater under the bus like him and woj did ! I expect alums like Vaccaro to put us in as good a light as possible - if telling the truth puts us in a bad light then please dont even mention us in your article ! How many people read that article? Thats how many people he put us in a bad light in front of - Thanks Mike V - a Richard !! JH, I don't get it. In other threads if posters have positive opinions of Coach Schmidt you get nasty with them and call them Koolaid drinkers. Now, when Vaccaro gives his opinions about Bona's which aren't necessarily as positive as you'd like, you call him "a Richard" for not writing like a Koolaid drinker? By the way, my impression of Vaccaro is that he is a very good journalist, and that he is very supportive of his alma mater.

Fordham tabs Eastern Kentucky coach Jeff Neubauer as its next hoops boss. Talk about culture shock... He played at LaSalle so at least he knows what a city looks like!!
