Where is news about signings likely to pop up first? I know SBU will be the last to say anything, so here? Twitter? Where else?
Not that I fixated on this or anything ...

I follow Alex Kline on Twitter, he does a good job of getting them all out there. There are other people you can follow too but I dont like to clog my feed with the same stuff over and over.

I am disappointed, and although I should not be, (and am not) surprised at the lack of signings as of the second day of the opening of the spring signing period, given the past several years history. I guess I should just be happy that for once, we got 2, and good ones at that, in the early period. I should also be pleased I am not seeing reports of KA or any of the various other targets of the staff signing with anyone else. KCSBU03 for those of us who do not twitter, can you supply a summary of how others in the A-10 are doing, particularly on high level recruits? Thanks in advance if you can do so.

I think everyone needs to throttle back expectations on signings. If we get the big guy from Canada and Schmidt brings in a few Jucos we should be at least as good as last year. Hopefully he starts to schedule like a 2 game over .500 in the conference is suppose to. No more patsies than we are already committed to.

The way things are now, there are less and less signings early due to all the one and done's who are still being recruited. Once those dominoes fall then others start to as well. Yes, there are players who sign now but it isnt a bad thing to be a few days into the period and not have LOI's yet. I did see that Rose is visiting GW this weekend. Seems like we lose a lot of players in NYS to GW. www.verbalcommits.com/schools/st-bonaventure is a good site. You can click into the different schools and get a high level view of what is going on.

Kc - hoops is really different from football, isn't it? - Signing day is just that in football, just about everyone commits, then on to speculating about the next class. Signing day is like Christmas. In hoops, it is more like the start of the season, rather than the big day itself. More patience is required, I guess.

Since the A10 TV contract with CBS Sports, Bonas has received a lot more attention (atleast down here in the Philly area) than i have ever seen it before. Im not talking about potential recruits, but with fans, even casual fans, and alumni.. I was hoping that would help players, recruits, who wanted to get more "exposure" than they usually would of received.. Has there been any talks with any JUCO's? I don't have twitter, so i don't see much information on whats going on..

Elite33 - maybe the Philly-area buzz is due to our signing someone I think is one of the Delaware Valley's top players from one of its better teams - Woods from Pennsbury H.S. He has had many big games, and I see the references to him being "a St. Bonaventure signee" in the Phillyburbs.com articles linked here - the more that's mentioned, the more buzz created I suspect.

Who is a better recruit (Woods or Griffin)? What do people think about J. Tyson? Higher recruit LaDarien Griffin is the higher rated recruit being a 3 star recruit from Scout and being recruited by the likes of Texas Tech and Florida State. In comparison Derrick Woods is not listed by Scout or Rivals (not surprising since last year was his first year on the varsity) and he was being recruited by likes of Niagara, Binghamton and FDU. Athleticism/build/game --LaDarien is a lanky 6'7" 200 pound small forward who has been a key contributor on a team that won Florida's 3A Championship. His high school team's frontline was 6'9", 6'7" and 6'7". This year his team was 33-1 and this was with graduation of Duke freshman Grayson Allen. LaDarien averaged 12 points a game for both seasons. LaDarien is a high flying athlete with a 7 foot wingspan, who needs to work on his shot. --Derrick is an athletic 6'8" 220 pound power forward.Does not have quite the extreme athleticism of LaDarien, but he certainly can sky and has impressive dunks. He led his team to the semifinals of Pennsylvania's 4A Tournament. First game of the tournament he had 22 points and 22 rebounds. He average 10 points last year and upped it to 16.3 ppg this year. He is regarded as a good defensive player, who excels at blocks. He has an improving offensive post game and like LaDarien he needs to work on his shot. Player with the higher upside Back in November I thought it was clearly LaDarien, especially when you consider the above. Now I'm not sure who to pick. LaDarien had a steady career on one of the best teams in the nation. On the other hand Derrick played on the varsity for only 2 years and averaged just 10 points a game as a junior. This year he leads his team to the state's semifinals, raises his scoring to 16.3 ppg and was selected to 2nd team All State for class 4A (largest class in Pennsylvania). Impressive accomplishment for a player who averaged just 10 points a game the previous year. Jordon Tyson It is too early to give up on Jordon. Like everyone else I was surprised and disappointed with Jordon's game. His disappointing season does not change the fact he averaged 12.4 ppg for the number 2 prep team in the nation. He is still the player that was stated by his coach to being better than his prized 6'10" center (Jabari Craig) who signed with USC by saying following "Fishburne head coach Ed Huckaby Jr. there is no comparison as to who is the better player. He is polished offensively,” Huckaby said of Tyson. “He goes left hand, right hand, he’s got it. You add 30 pounds to that and it’s on. He’s better than Jabari Craig. I’m watching it everyday.” scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=9&c=11&cfg=bb&sFirstName=&sLastName=griffin&yr=2015gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2014-15/releases/20141120bwuq6twww.oleantimesherald.com/sports/article_d76cad4c-700c-11e4-929b-67bcb240d5fa.htmlwww.oleantimesherald.com/sports/article_f555b75a-d299-11e4-b215-774bb78d3d0b.htmlwww.mcall.com/sports/groller-blog/mc-no-lehigh-valley-kids-on-allstate-boys-basketball-teams-but-district-11-not-totally-shut-out-20150402-story.html#page=1intrepidsbu.com/2013/10/18/exclusive-bonnies-recruit-jordan-tyson-resembles-andrew-nicholson/gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2014-15/bios/tyson_jordan_11ox

Chuck....As always terrific information and insight. I see LaDarien as the better of the two initially. If Woods continues to make steady strides he potentially may have higher upside. When Tom Konchalski commented on how much he has developed in a short time you must take notice.
