We have built a good relationship here. Who knows, in 2 years, Kyle may be looking to move back closer to home and ensure more playing time. This is the environment we have to become more comfortable with and hopefully the coaches continue to value the long term potential of initially losing these recruiting battles.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but if (and it's a big if) film school was important we never should have been on his list in the first place. I agree, he seems to be wanting a Power 5 offer I guess.

I could be wrong, but the film major will be very low on his list of priorities in selecting a school. It may not enter into it at all.
Our pursuit of Alexander and the reception provided him at the game he attended should have provide a positive feel about Bona by the Alexander family. Obviously they just want higher. This is important as we explore the growing # of Canadian prospects this year & in the years to come. Parents share with coaches (CIA Bounce family) & other families their experiences in the recruiting process. As portpasses says, you never know if he looks to transfer down the road (becoming more common) he may realize Bona was the best match. I feel his desire to be an impact player his first year or at least get valuable mins to develop his inexperienced game may be sorely challenged.

I would add, having attended a college with a significant film program for undergrad, film and D-I athletics do not mix. Its not a manageable struggle like being a physics major for a gifted student, its a complete impossibility.

I am with those who say let's relax, and wait and see before reaching conclusions of bad motives, evil meddling, and certain failure all around. This too will play out and we'll be fine.Gotta live with a little disappointed expectations with sports. I am thinking the Pens will start their dramatic comeback tonight vs. the Rangers, so I guess I shoul be ready for more disappointment. But then again mybe on Monday I'll log on here nd find the Bonnie's have signed someone on no one's radar who in a few years turns out ro be the next Greene, AN or D. or M. Wright! Go Bonnie's!

Film is a popular major for Notre Dame football players! I was giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming that he was looking to study film while playing basketball, rather than play ball and get full use of his Netflix account.

If anyone still cares KYLE will decide between Tennessee and New Mexico tomorrow. I'm disappointed we didn't get Mr. Alexander. It would have been big news here in Bonnieland if we had. But I do think it says a lot about our coaching staff and their recruiting efforts. We were on his list for a long time. The final 2, Tennessee, where Rick Barnes now resides, and New Mexico, famous for their"Pit", 18,000 capacity......that's some big time competition. I wish Mr. Alexander good luck in his career. I also wish good luck to the guy we will get because Kyle didn't come here. Who knows, he may be better.....

If his choice is Tennessee, then it is Rob Lanier that nailed him.
