Florida's Carter to graduate and transfer, eligible immediately
By Jon Rothstein | CBS Sports April 27, 2015 5:36 PM ET Florida's Eli Carter will transfer and is eligible to play immediately next season since he's a college graduate, sources told CBSSports.com.
The 6-2 guard averaged 8.8 points last season and made 43 three-point shots.
A New Jersey native, Carter began his college career at Rutgers before transferring to Florida in 2013.
The Gators went 16-17 last season and missed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009

Yikes, our least favorite prodigal son back at it. What a mess this kid ended up making for himself.

I agree with sbu79. He graduated and has options for his final year.

No thanks, not worth the discussion. Close the book on this sad story.

Look ... I'm as disappointed as the next guy about what Eli Carter did to Bonaventure, but you won't ever find me trashing a college kid on the internet. Time to move on.

As an experiment, I went on the Ball State message board around what would have been the time of Posleys departure and then during this season. I couldnt find him mentioned anywhere.
What is it with our obsessions?

You know the old saying, your girlfriend is always prettier if she breaks up with you before you can break up with her. Mike Gansey was probably relieved when Eli asked for his release from us, since we stopped nagging on his choice to leave us, and started nagging on Eli.

I'm just glad we've given up on Millinghaus.
