They were 3-15 in conference, 5-26 for the year! Obviously, they were playing all last year against a higher level of basketball! You quoted him as saying he wants to play "a higher level of basketball" ... which would indicate that, you know, HE wants to be a part of a higher level of basketball, not watch the teams he's playing against play a higher level of basketball. Why is this difficult? I think you are taking sony too seriously.

It’s always fun to reflect. I remember saying that Matt Mobley is Marcus Posley on steroids. I think that was a fair and accurate assessment.
I knew Mobley was the real deal after watching his highlights at CCSU. He was a little wild back then but the scoring instincts were clear. I knew he would flourish in Schmidt’s offense. His 2 year stint has been a blur of buckets. If I had to pick a favorite moment, I’d go with the game winner vs Vermont. Held scoreless all game, and he ends up being the hero. That’s the kind of confidence he has.
Jay and Matt form the best backcourt in the country. America will learn this in the coming weeks.

i still think posley was better. Not sure why but i do. I would like to see shooting percentage, etc... plus posley didn't disappear. I also think him and jay played better together.

MM rebounds give him the edge over MP. Both excellent.

MM rebounds give him the edge over MP. Both excellent. Statistically not really even close, Mobley does everything better and shoots more efficiently than Posley did. They both have the clutch factor as well. My money has always been on Mobley, more dynamic and the fact he has averaged over 5 boards a game in his career is astounding and overlooked by people at times!

Besides for the stats that may favor Mobley, Posley never ever disappeared in so many games, but I also always thought Mobley would disappear because other guys were stepping up and when we really needed Mobley too he would step up! Like I've said before Posley is my all-time favorite player, but Mobley is right there with him, when I heard that he had decided to transfer here I'm sure I annoyed a ton of family and friends by talking solely about how great Mobley will be!! When it comes down to it i personally just don't think you can compare the two, they both did/do what they have to do too help our favorite team win, and that's all that matters!!.

Good discussion for the off season, but I'm hard-pressed to think of a player with better moves to the hoop than Marcus Posley. Also difficult to describe or measure, Marcus was/is a great leader. He is still there for these guys and was encouraging via Twitter when they were at their low point in January.

Like others have stated, I loved the way Marcus carried himself, rallied the team and was just a "never say die" type of player. That game in Rochester was one of those unforgettable nights the Bonnies have given us. I would try and track D-League games just to continue to watch him. One of my all time favorite Bonnies, still in Bonaventure commercials I believe! With that said, Mobley is a baller, a stud, a cold blooded scorer. More athletic than Marcus with a next level skill set! I choose to love them both.
I also love that Jay has morphed some of Posley's leadership skills this senior year! Good leadership leads to more good leadership!

Honestly--Jay, Matt and Marcus should all go into the HOF the same year!! So many reasons why but Jay being the common denominator and both Matt and Marcus scoring over 1000pts in your first two years is an incredible feat.

Posley is no longer in the g league. He took his talents to Greece.
I really hope Mobley gets some nba looks.
