I have it has a youtube favorite, my dad 39' Bonnie grad knew most of the words when he was still 93 years old. I graduated in 77' and knew of it through youtube and my dad. I remember unfurl the brown and white into the breeze and thats as far as I got. I do not remember hearing it at any games when I was at Bona's from 73'-77'. Be great if the students worked this into a pre-game chant or song.

After that video played, the 1936 Bona film came up. That is an amazing time capsule of life at Bona's.
Favorite parts: the kid running to class (obviously late) the kids looking in awe at those fancy business machines the faces on the kids at Hickey the kids trying (poorly it appears) to shoot hoops at Butler the guy cheerleaders doing whatever it is they were doing
Worth a few minutes of your time ...

In an effort to more positively channel energies at home games in my frosh or soph year (so 84-85 ish), Professors Martini and Keenan offered a keg to the first floor that stood and sang Unfurl the Brown and White during a basketball game. The administration later let them know that with the recently raised drinking age they could not pay up. So my fellow Weebles and I had at least one thirsty night on campus. However, their idea worked and I've know the words ever since.

5and23:
Glad you made those comments about the 1936 film. I had never seen it before. A couple of things missing from it though: stumbling out of The Burton late at night and then negotiating the train tracks getting back to Dev sailing pancakes at breakfast from one end of Hickey to the other Lots more but they're locked up securely in my brain for now. <G>

As freshmen in 1959 we had to learn the alma mater and ubfurl the brown and white as part of the 8 week rules program. I never forgot the word to either. It was a great era for many reasons. I can still hear my fellow classmates singing those songs during one of our "beat meetings" held in Butler gym after enforced study hall at 10:00 pm.
