Assuming that THEY are still open, still have an athletic dept and have enough money to get up here, we will host SC St. On Dec 19th. SCSU's $12.1MM athletic budget is larger than SBU's $9.4MM...

yes, but SC State is in serious trouble-financially and with it's accreditation board. Proposals to get back on track have ranged dropping some teams to dropping athletics to temporarily closing the entire school.

Yes, I am well aware as I have been following the SCSU saga for a few years (and I have a friend in the legislature there). But no changes will be made before the game; they have full funding for this school year.

I guess tone never comes across in posts. I never thought that they would actually not show up for the game. My point was to highlight that many universities are under duress these days. I put THEY in caps so readers wouldn't go off thinking I was referring to our own problems

Sc state has a great following here in olean and allegany ,so I,m guessing there will be a sellout to see the continuation of this historic rivalry.. Hope the student section is hyped as well!

I'm sure we will get a lot out of this game!. See if we can tank this one like Delaware last season. I fine our scheduling a complete disaster. In my opinion as a former AD, the responsibility falls squarely on the Athletic Director. Watson allowed the student manager to schedule games and I honestly don't know if the new AD is doing likewise. The AD is paid to do this, so why haven't they done their job in the past??

So much for Niagara on 11/28. I guess maybe it should have been U of Southern Niagara. Hofstra just announced their schedule saying 11/28 @st. Bonaventure.

Hofstra's a credible opponent, #125 on Kenpom last year. Should be good for the Bonnies' SOS.
