Not being disrespectful here Oldcoach, but who were these Americanos they were playing against? I mean, Murray just graduated HS didn't he...and he had 22 in the fourth??

Hermit. Did you watch the game? I see plenty of NBA BIG MEN who cannot knock down open jumpers or show the deftness of a baby hook with either hand. Orlando almost never ran anything for him. They were keying on him and he still scored 31. He can help an NBA team.

Granted this was not an elite USA team but Drew did destroy the starting center of Arizona 's college team. I've watched all 4 games and Drew has been virtually unstoppable against quality international competition. And, the high school kid Murray that you dismissed is going to Kentucky and will be a one and done top 5 nba pick next year. He is a great player.

And, believe me, I hope Andrew gets his chance to show what he can do, whether with Orlando or someone else. He did last night what he needed to do.......dominate mediocre talent. The American pro game has changed, and, in my mind, not for the better. The questions I have about Andrew, realistically, pertain more to the change in the American game and how his talent translates to that game. Gven the right set of circumstances, I do believe he can be successful. I'm just not sure if those circumstances exist in the pro game anymore.

Drew needs to get away from Orlando as his development in the NBA was thwarted by the very poor head coach Vaughn. The new coach is a major screaming headcase, and I'm not sure he is going to be any better for Drew. His big man talents are clearly on the offensive side of the ball and he needs continuous playing time to reflect those capabilities. A scorer does not produce by getting 5-7 minutes of playing time.Never have been sure what Orlando has been thinking, and I don't think anyone else in the NBA understands them either. He really has had a nice tournament.

Hermit, yes I understand your point. I agree fully with your assessment of the NBA game. The "bad boy's" of Detroit would not be unique today. He needs the a team with some "bad boys" and a coach that understand where their scoring options and insists that the thugs do the dirty clean up work and let the basketball players practice their skills.
