. . . and probably not worth a separate thread, but WTF, here I go anyway. I was watching the DVR'd (great invention BTW) replay of the second half of the SLU game and at one point near the end the guy dong the color noted that on a made FT Marcus showed perfect form the way coaches always taught foul shooting, including holding form as though shooting in a phone booth - straight out the top and finishing on your toes. It dawned on me that Marcus, and probably none of the kids playing, had ever been in or maybe even had never seen a phone booth, except maybe in an old movie or TV show. If this was the off-season I'd ask when anyone on the board last used a phone booth. It also reminded me of a client from decades ago who desperately tried to convince me to join him in investing in owning a bunch of phone booths. Happily I declined, not because I foresaw the impact of mobile phones but because I just didn't trust that guy with a dime of my money. Oh and the game really had a fantastic ending. My apologies to anyone who feels I wasted their time, but I really am getting old I guess. Now I've got to go somewhere and loudly fart.

We had an elderly relative that invested in the "phone booth" deal when cell phones were just on the horizon. A nice chunk of money was pissed away despite our warnings.

Ceharv - you just answered a mystery for me. When I used to coach softball, I used to tell my players that they should swing the bat like they are in a phone booth - tight circle, don't extend their arms, etc. And most of them did not get it. They were all probably wondering "what is a phone booth?"

every time I am in Rochester I notice you guys have more phone booths than any city I've ever gone to in recent years. Like most of you guys here I figured they were a thing of the past until I travel to the ROC and it seems there are more phone booths than garbage plates. ? any ROC-heads have an explanation? Does Clark Kent live in Corn Hill or Brighton?
