Probably the Park-BK game
The Game was moved up to tonight. BK beats Park. I'm a bit surprised but Kearney is hot right now.
I guess it is McQuaid at AQ for me tomorrow.

The BK -McQ result was certainly not expected. My buddy and I were wondering if McQ was missing some pieces or something, like maybe playing for a favorable spot in the sectional bracket. Stewart had 25 and they still lose to BK by 30. Very strange. And then McQuaid basically blows the doors off of Aquinas tonight. aquinas had absolutely no answer for Isaiah Stewart down low. Stewart is so, so strong. He is way ahead of where Thomas Bryant was as a soph. Stewart also drilled several jumpers in the 15 to 17 foot range. One trip he lead the break off of a turnover and made a nice lead pass to a teammate heading down the wing. The kid is special.
Coach Robinson was in attendance tonight to see Jalen Pickett (and hopefully Stewart too). Pickett didn't have his best night but I saw plenty to like in his game. He does a little of everything for his team-run the point, rebound, shoot from outside, drive the lane.... On defense he was at times in the lane battling with the much larger Stewart and then up top, staying in front of McQuaid's very small but very quick, very savvy point. This year's AQ team is not nearly as good as recent versions. At times against deep, talented teams like McQ he simply has to do too much. Also, I was in the lobby early as he walked in the door. As he did, he immediately went and gave a big hug to an older women standing by the door. She didn't walk out on the court with his family later (it was senior night) so I don't think she was his grandmother but maybe a teammates. The respectful gesture was not lost on me.
Final note, each team has a freshman to keep an eye on down the road. AQ has a 6'7 frosh on the JV. Some Aquinas people tell me he is expected to grow at least 2 or 3 more inches. He is raw but showed a few flashes. McQ has a freshman guard on varsity that nailed a couple of threes tonight and had some big nights this season especially when Stewart and another key player were out with injuries.

I saw that kid at AQ who is on JV, I did one of their games this year. He is definitely raw but someone to keep an eye on. I am surprised BK won by 30 but they are so athletic they can beat teams by just being quicker. Was also surprised McQ beat AQ like that but if Stewart is on, they are really tough to beat. Really looking forward to those sectional match ups at BCA

Not sure the staff's involvement, but DOMINIC WELCH scored 51 points last night.

"Main Man" as he is called, PG Donald Cannon-Flores @bornreadyman of Lincoln (Rail Splitters) said he's down to 3 schools: UNC-Wilmington, St.Bonaventure & Kent St.
Lincoln went 15-2 this season. He had 15 ppg, 5 rebs & 4 assists
MM at 6'/171 at Lincoln HS in Coney Island has great hops, scores and finishes with the left hand. Kid has a rep since 8th grade.
Take Note! Verbal Commits does not have Bona having offered.
Lincoln 14-0 won the Bklyn Championship. Surprisingly lost by a pont today to Boys & Girls HS in the NYC Quarter Final. Licoln had beaten them 3 times this year & it was a questionable seeding.

I believe we were first on this young man when he was in high school in Jersey.
Looks like an athlete. Listed from 6'6" to 6'8". Listted as a sf coming out of h.s. and now as a pf.
Mr. Inside to Ayeni's Mr. Outside ? (in fairness I think Ayeni will learn to score better inside to go with his nice 10-15 footer)

Is it common for recruits to have a team in their final 3 but not have an offer? I would think our staff would have offered him by now unless they have had some conversations about it already.

I would think our staff would have offered him by now unless they have had some conversations about it already. Dominick Welch included Dayton in his final list even though they had not offered and likely won't. Kids will have Duke and Kentucky on their lists without an offer. Cannon-Flores could be holding out in hopes of an offer. As of right now, he doesn't hold one. One of the other two schools on his list also has not offered him.

Thank you Nathan. We always appreciate your info.
In a similar vein, I declined to attend both Harvard and Yale.
