Plays with King of Kings Utica Select squad during summer league. Same team as Denzel, although never seen them play in same game, as Denzel hasn't played in two years.

I caught the UPrep at Pittsford Sutherland game last night. UPrep jumped to a 10-0 lead including two big dunks in their first 3 baskets. Sutherland chipped away, was down by just 1 point at the half, and hung tough until about 4 mins left in 4th quarter. UPrep ended up winning by 17. To the point...Jeenathan Williams had a cold shooting night but has talent and athleticism to be a player in the A10. He has a decent lefty stroke- just kept rimming out last night. He ended up with 10 mostly inside or on putbacks. He passes pretty well, has good handle, and can play in or out. He did a nice job of keeping calm and helping his team on what could have been a frustrating night. I only remember one time where he tried to force too much. His shot just wouldn't go and they collapsed inside making drives tough. He was announced as a sophomore so he may have reclassified. He is a solid, strong kid at 6'6. UPrep's 6'7 freshman Jabez Thomas was also very impressive. He was very active blocking shots and hitting the boards, albeit, against shorter opponents. He ended up with 22. Some very impressive 6 to 8 foot jumpers where he elevated over everyone. This is another kid that should be on Bona's radar. Lots of talent, young talent, in Buffalo, Roch etc theses days. I wonder if it is time for a Bonaventure "elite camp" like many other schools are using to woo recruits.

UPrep has some serious ball players. I saw them play a few weeks ago and will have their JV game at BK so I will be staying for the Varsity game. When I saw Williams a couple weeks ago, he struggled to find rhythm but he has an A10 body. If he hits the weights he will be a monster. I liked Thomas too from what I saw. These prep schools opening all over Rochester are unearthing basketball talent. These kids dont get bogged down in the city schools anymore and have a path to college and scholarships. I agree with your assessment on Williams, I think he would play well at Bona's.

PARK SCHOOL of Buffalo played in Olean last night against WALSH, I wanted to go to see PARK in particular I wanted to see JOE JONES 2018 who the Bona staff has offered, but am feeling under the weather so I missed it. Did any posters from this board go? If so, how did JOE look? Also, was anyone from the Bona staff there? I see JOE had 30 points on 15 field goals, unfortunately WALSH has no height.

Bishop Ludden from Syracuse with Mika Adams-Wood is playing at Aquinas Monday night. Any Rochester people planning on checking out the game? I'm not sure that I can get there but would love to see some observations posted if anyone goes

Through the Pittsburgh BB Report's twitter, I found the former Park School 7 footer Chris Efretuei. He is at First Love Christian Academy in Washington, PA. He is now listed on VerbalCommits as class of '18. Plenty of Bona related retweets on Chris' own twitter account so we seem to still be very much in the picture.

Was able to watch UPrep and Bishop Kearney the other night and Jeenathan Williams. I was impressed with his game. He has some maturing to do still, he picked up a T for yelling at the BK bench. Overall I like his game. He has a big frame so some time in the weight room and he will be a monster. He showed a good ability with the ball in his hands and had some nice moves inside. He struggled with FT and longer jump shots but that can come with some work. I think he would be a good player for us if we can sign him. I also liked a soph they have on their team. I cant remember his name but he looked a little more polished and might even be bigger than Williams.
EDIT: just read 123's post from earler, Thomas is the kid I was thinking of. We are on the same page

kc-Thanks for the update. We are definitely on the same page re these two kids. Since he is only a frosh, I would think Thomas will grow more than his current 6'7. If so he is certainly an A10 PF prospect. Even if he doesn't, I see a lot of Denzel Gregg or Dion Wright in his game. The next date that I have circled is a week from tonight. Park School at Bishop Kearney.
