I hope he makes a full recovery. Reinjury seems to be a common problem with foot injuries.
Assuming he stays and does grad school at Bonas the MBA program would probably be the best fit for a Sports Management major. As of a few years ago, the GMAT was the required test for all SBU MBA students, this includes students already enrolled at SBU for undergrad. They used to use a combination of the GMAT score and GPA in determining admissions to the MBA program. It is was not a guarantee that you could get in on your GPA alone even for someone maintaining an NCAA eligible GPA. Given the current level of enrollment they might have changed some of the guidelines.

Maybe we should wait for the test results before we make grad school plans for Courtney? All that is known right now is that his right foot is hurting. The training staff is taking every precaution while specialists get to the bottom of things.

As disappointed as I am for the team as a Bonnies fan, my heart really goes out to this young man. Tough road for him to travel. He's got the best wishes of a lot of fans with him.
Stay strong and keep your head up young man.

Ditto on Bart's comments for Courtney. Tough situation. On the other hand, this does give him a chance to further his education without all of the demands of a full time ball player. Hope he comes thru the other side stronger both physically and mentally.
It also looks with our late transfers and this injury we will find out if our freshmen recruit can play A10 ball. It will be great if at least 2 of the 3 frosh show they can contribute in their first year.

Really tough news for Courtney. I was really looking forward to seeing him play this season. This injury possibly opens up a spot in the rotation. We know Schmidt goes usually 7-8 deep. To me, this could be LaDarien Griffin's chance to prove himself. He seems to be the forgotten man on this team. I think we will get a chance to see if he's improved from last year. If he has and gives us some quality minutes this season, that would be a huge bonus in my opinion. I believe he's going to have to hold off Coburn and Ayeni for that 8th spot, but I think Schmidt gives the sophomore the first crack at it and he may surprise us.

Me too, and as much as i hate this for Stockard, i really believe Coburn can step up and fill the void scoring wise.. Get well soon Courtney!!

What is a Jones fracture....first thought is that it is named after a famous athlete who suffered the injury, for example, ALS, most commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. So before researching, I thought about famous athlete's with the name of Jones. In baseball I thought of my favorite NY Met of the 60's, Cleon Jones, or a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs (being they are in the World Series), Sam "toothpick" Jones, or a football player like Deacon Jones, or a NY Giant named Homer Jones. Then of course it might be a basketball player, and first thought to the Jones boys on the old Celtics, KC or Sam. So what would intensive reseach find? Such research when I was a student could take days, researching medical books, but today, just enter "Jones fracture" in google and within a couple of seconds I found out it was named after a doctor who suffered the injury while dancing, and therefore Sir Robert Jones is now famous on the bandwagon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jones_fracture

Derhut. I gave you a thumbs up for Basketball Jones - but it actually does not qualify for this list, since the actual player was Tyrone Shoelaces. Probably the best song about Basketball that ever existed. "I need, I need someone to set a pick for me at the free-throw line of life"
