I find it to be really surprising that some schools' news papers were omitted, yet Duquesne participated, and was still voted so low.

I find it to be really surprising that some schools' news papers were omitted, yet Duquesne participated, and was still voted so low. Just a quick background to that: No paper was omitted, the others just never submitted a poll.

I assume that everyone is prone to overweighing their own program and Duquesne had a good year last year and seems to be on the upswing. I was surprised to see them so low.

I am not an expert on the dukes, but they lost their outstanding backcourt to graduation and LG Gill, a nemesis to us, to transfer (graduate transfet) I believe to Pitt. I would assume the expectations are low.

I was thinking they were going to be pretty good again, with the addition of the Niagara transfer.
But admittedly, I don't really follow them and could be mistaken.
