Looking at the schedule after tonight's game, we are in the drivers seat for the 4 seed...COULD get to 3...URI, RU, and GMU have much tougher schedules left Tom I think we need to get to 12 wins to get in top 4. The road game at Davidson will be the biggest game of the year I think.

Team may be peaking at right time for the first time since 2012. SBU has peaked too early in last few years. Well played game all around. Let's keep it going on Saturday. Go Bonas!

So at the risk of being accused of having multiple user names on here...
We're 3-3 over the last six with two wins over the worst of the conference, we got destroyed by URI, and played like hot garbage for 30 minutes against GW.
And now we beat La Salle, who are 2-5 over their previous seven, and we're the second coming of the 2012 team?

Gregg just stepped up tonight as the senior captain...I think he will stay hot and aggressive

And in the last game we saw how they play when they play for 10 minutes.

Mason hosts URI saturday right after our game on NBCSN. That's a huge one for the standings. Whether we win or lose the early game we want Mason but that would be dynamite if we can pull it out in Dayton and Mason wins

Big game tonight in Richmond where the Spiders host VCU. Rams favored by 3. If the Spiders lose it will create quite a logjam in the battle to see who will get the #3 and #4 seeds in Pittsburgh.

I just can't. I'll just skip the game and read the box score

Plus if we get the 4 and they get the 1, we get a rematch with them in the semis. Also, if we get into a 3 way tie and its 1-1 all around, the next tie breaker is record against the top team. If that is VCU we are only 0-1 but if its Dayton that could be 0-2 or 1-1. We would rather have VCU in that spot. Richmond could end up 0-2 vs them.

So which happens first - Jason Capel talks about Duke during live action or they show a clip from the end of the SBU game? I have Capel talking about Duke as a -250 favorite. I love that the A10 has had some very important games on ESPN2 on Friday nights, it is great exposure for the league even though there are a ton of A10 games on the airwaves throughout the season you just have to read this board on gameday to realize we aren't on the main networks. I am sure if we had a game on ESPN2 it would cut the number of people asking what channel the game is on to almost zero. The only problem with only having one game a week on ESPN family of networks is they do a poor job of following the A10 teams and always end up talking about Duke because Jason Capel is assigned to the games and his brother was filling in for Coach K.

I think their complaining about our previous court storm in 2015 was a contributing factor. Teams get court-stormed on all the time in NCAA basketball and yet they complained more than any school I've ever seen. I believe their complaining to the league set in motion some of the criticism of our fanbase and put us under the microscope in the league. Did the referees screw up on their own? oh absolutely... but for it to happen against VCU again and this time we get a technical, I'm not convinced that was a coincidence. Either way I just simply dislike that school and their fanbase for how trashy they are. That one is a personal feeling. I get it though, it helps us if VCU wins tonight. That's good because I think they will win but that doesn't mean I am going to root for them. Like I said I will just read the box score and see where we are afterwards. I'm not sitting by the TV and rooting for that trash however. You can, that's fine I am just stating my opinion.

In addition to his subject matter, Jason Capel's voice inflection and faux dramatization just irritates me.

I am going to watch the game since it will be good and I love A10 basketball. I am the type who has to have something or someone to root for when I watch a game. To each their own though...

I'm not reading into your quote too much about "VCU fans" but I see this as a good opportunity to bring this up. I noticed when reading the VCU board about the game at Bonas a couple of weeks ago that one of their posters was very angry, and reasonably so, at our "fans" because last season at the A-10 tourney, a group of Bona fans spat from atop a building while yelling out against VCU and almost hit his wife as they were walking down below . I was sad to hear that but then it just proves my point that I usually bring up about almost ALL groups of human beings in that each one has its "bad apples". For the longest time, I have held a bias against West Virginia because back in the 80s, I was talking to a Bona baller who was a friend of mine who said that fans at their home court spat towards our b-ball team as they were on their way out of the gym. To further enhance my anger, I was at an A-10 tourney in Pittsburgh my senior year at Bonas in 1982 when a young female wearing WVU apparel noticed me wearing my SBU coat and said to me, "St. Bonaventure sucks!!!" I guess the point is that we all have our "bad apples" in our groups and chances are that one group of people is most likely not worse than another. The cross section of each is mainly made up of great people who have their own biases of whom to support. That being said: Let's go, VCU!
