Jaylen dishing Matt swishing Denzel finishing
I think that's the team we all envisioned back in November. Pretty when it all comes together.

Still disappointed that Coburn saw 0 minutes, and Kaputo limited...as someone else stated, would've liked to see the last 4 minutes with Kaputo, Coburn, Griffin, Ikpeze, and Ayeni

Great team effort tonight! I think it may have been our most complete 40 min game of the season. I would have liked to see Coburn out there with about 5 to go to give Jay a breather. I think Mark is great but I don't think I will ever understand that kind do of thinking. I am hoping this will be the start of a great run. As unlikely as that may be I feel deep down that something miraculous could happen. I guess we may find out Saturday.

It doesn't make sense at all. Has anyone tried to bring this up to him? What doesn't he understand??? Hate to be negative on a great night, but it will kill us in the long run.

Schmidt is desperately trying to get the 4 seed. Like it or not he's gonna live or die with Adams, Mobley and Gregg down the stretch. Gregg needs to stay on the floor. I don't buy the rest nonsense. As Schmidt has said many times they are 20 yr old kids. If Adams, Mobley and Gregg are playing 40 minutes a night down the stretch I like our chances. Keep in mind they are off 6 days at seasons end. Plenty of time to rest and heal before the tourney.

Agreed. Can't say I'd blame him. If he can't crack the line up for 5 minutes agame, he certainly won't next year either since Jay and Matt will be seniors. Why stay and kill 2 years.

I think it hurt us last year as well as Our backcourt got beat up over time last season. He needs to figure out how to get guys up to speed quicker, even if it means shrinking the voluminous playbook the announcers on tv always discuss. Play fewer play for 5 minutes agame. Coburn playing four to five today would not have been bad, especially since we were up 20 at halftime. He could have played a couple here and a couple at the end. Next year as a result, we will have the same problem, a backcourt with no depth if someone gets hurt because they have no game experience.

For reference, the AP top 25 teams have a combined two players in the top 50 in the nation in minutes per game. We have numbers 1 and 9, making us the only school with two guys in the top 10. The rest of the conference has three guys in the top 50. UTEP is the only other school with two in the top 25 in mpg.
Other schools with one guy in the top 10 are a lot of hot garbage, including American, Northeastern, Louisiana-Monroe, Austin Peay, and Santa Clara.
UConn, New Hampshire, Central Michigan, and UT-Martin are the other schools with two top 50 guys in mpg.
There's a reason why other schools don't play people at the minutes we do. Because it's dumb. And don't give me the "they're 20" crap. Basketball for 40 minutes is hard. That's why no one else is doing it like our guys are.

Maybe they're the only team you can think of and they're from 74 years ago. Is that really your response, or is there another team I should be looking at?

Well, i am surprised you are not aware of the only.... undefeated bonnie team in the regular season. You dont know about those guys? Im not arguing here. I listened to this team when i was in basic training. Ft Dix, 1968 Look them up

So the commentators mentioned that the student section was only about 1/3rd filled. They arent on spring break this quick, right? I'd assume they would all be on campus. Did originally getting blamed for the VCU loss kill the mojo that much? I know it's a Wed 7pm game, some people may have class, but we all still made it work back in my day. I guess the whole 1/3rd thing just was shocking to me.

Your comparison remains ridiculous and irrelevant to the game as it is today.
