Well, i am surprised you are not aware of the only.... undefeated bonnie team in regulation play. You dont know about those guys? Im not arguing here. I listened to this team when i was in basic training. Ft Dix, 1968 Look them up Ok, go ahead and replace the numbers in my post with 1968 and 49. Your comparison remains ridiculous and irrelevant to the game as it is today. Wow..... i thought you knew better, i really did But, then again, everybody has to be .... Right.... these days....if not, what are you?

You don't think the game has changed a bit since 1968? Do you have an argument in favor of playing everyone for 40 minutes that you can point to in a sport that at least sort of closely resembles how the game is played now?

For reference, the AP top 25 teams have a combined two players in the top 50 in the nation in minutes per game. We have numbers 1 and 9, making us the only school with two guys in the top 10. The rest of the conference has three guys in the top 50. UTEP is the only other school with two in the top 25 in mpg. Other schools with one guy in the top 10 are a lot of hot garbage, including American, Northeastern, Louisiana-Monroe, Austin Peay, and Santa Clara. UConn, New Hampshire, Central Michigan, and UT-Martin are the other schools with two top 50 guys in mpg. There's a reason why other schools don't play people at the minutes we do. Because it's dumb. And don't give me the "they're 20" crap. Basketball for 40 minutes is hard. That's why no one else is doing it like our guys are. Dumb? Really? Coach K has won 1,000 games playing short rotations. He's got McDonald All Americans riding the bench. He consistently plays 7 guys. Boeheim is the same way. He plays a tight 6 or 7 man rotation. Been doing it forever. Like for 40 years. Let's see. He's won 900 games. Dayton was playing a 6-7 man rotation last couple of years. I don't need to see Coburn in garbage time. I want to win a must win game. And we did. Again only on this board do we hammer the coach after a rare blow out win. One other thing. We are 7-2 in our last 9, with the two losses on the road. I will continue to count the VCU game as a win. That's pretty good right?

That's pretty good right? Yes. It's dumb. What Schmidt is doing is not what Coach K is doing. We have two guys in the top 10 in the nation in mpg. Duke's top two are 79th and 183rd. Taqqee is 189th, just FYI. Syracuse's top two are 13th and 59th. Again, our top two are 1st and 9th. You can make whatever comparisons you want to make, but they're not actually true just because you want to believe that Schmidt expecting to be successful playing top guys near 40 mpg is not something that will come back to bite us in the end.

What im understanding is that this society, now, couldnt live in '68. No way. In any way. Its too... wow i cant even say it. To PC, whatever... you think we are at war now? We were losing 200 GI's a week in 68. Think about that. Sit, and think about that. And you are worried about too many minutes....

What does that have to do with Jay, Mobley, and Gregg playing 40, 34, and 40 minutes respectively in a game that was all but over after 25 minutes?

So the commentators mentioned that the student section was only about 1/3rd filled. They arent on spring break this quick, right? I'd assume they would all be on campus. Did originally getting blamed for the VCU loss kill the mojo that much? I know it's a Wed 7pm game, some people may have class, but we all still made it work back in my day. I guess the whole 1/3rd thing just was shocking to me. I thought there would be big thread about this. I had the game on my phone, but wasn't watching it at the time - I heard them talk about this, some new letter from TK ro the students, and Schmidt going into Hickey today to try to rally the students to come to the game. What exactly is going on?

Some students are boycotting, because they were blamed for losing the VCU game. This, too, shall pass.

3 Things: 1. No excuse for student section to be only 1/3rd full. What...2/3rds of the students had HW to complete? Someone mentioned they are boycotting because they were blamed for the vcu loss. Seriously!? Were they ever blamed by anyone associated with the school? I only heard supportive statements by Schmidt. And even if they were blamed at first..suck it up...letter of support and Schmidt in the Hickey today asking for support...Talk about being a snowflake. It's your duty to show up and support your school. (At least I felt like it was when I was there) 2. If Coburn wasn't going to see any time why not red shirt him? 3. Keep this rolling into Dayton. Get the W and let's make some noise.
