Shocked this thread hasn't been started yet, but here we go. SBU ventures into the Sweater Center tomorrow to face 1st place Dayton. UD has lost once in their last nine games and have lost at home just once all season (St. Mary's). Dayton ranks top 25 nationally in defense but is also a top 60 team offensively and already hung 90 on us this season without Charles Cooke. We did a lengthy Q and A with their fansite, the Blackburn Review, for some additional insight into their fan base. Also, we included a link to a fantastic article breaking down Dayton's defense with tons of video to support their commentary (really a great read/watch). Clearly this will be an incredibly tough game for SBU to win, but to me if it's going to happen Adams needs to play "A" ball as well as have the supporting cast show up. You don't win at Dayton playing B basketball. Still, this team has a shot and still has a shot to finish in the top four if they finish strong. thebonablog.com/2017/02/17/four-mile-brewing-pre-game-at-dayton-20-5-11-2/ www.thebonablog.com

I am sure many of you look at the game notes regularly, but I think the chart below (that is always included) is pretty telling. It really is fantastic we have essentially been the 3rd best team in the A-10 over the last 5+ seasons (acknowledging that Davidson has been better since they joined). Dayton & VCU are pretty clearly the class of the conference, but if we could somehow pull the upset tomorrow it would add to a pattern of being competitive with even those teams in recent years (win at Dayton last year, win over VCU on Posely buzzer beater a couple years back and of course the recent near win over VCU)..
A-10 Winning Percentages 2012-Present (including this season); Includes regular season games only All teams with at least .500 records listed Team A-10 W-L PCT 1. VCU* 61-20 .753 2. I was unable to go to or watch the first Dayton game, but from what I remember we had yet to start playing much of the 1-3-1/match-up zone before that game. I think that changing our defenses could help slow down Dayton tomorrow. We will also need to play as good of a game as we did vs LaSalle to be in it at the end of the game.

Amazing how far we've come. Not sure if it was 2 or 3 games ago.

Depending on which Bonaventure team shows up, its all in their hands. GO BONNIES The key is to board hard and deny UD second and third chances. Denzel must play well -- and smart -- to avoid foul trouble. As before, UD should look to Kendall Pollard, noted Bona killer, to key the Flyers' inside attack. I'll be interested to see what Cooke brings to the rematch. But UD has weaponry all around and Archie knows how to maximize its utility.

if Denzel plays like the other night, we beat them by 15

if Denzel plays like the other night, we beat them by 15 I think your somewhat right, but both Mobley and Jaylen were efficient as well which will be key

Ikpeze could be a big piece in the puzzle to beating Dayton, and at the very least he gives us one more "big" (very big) body down low!..

They dominated us on our home court without their best player. Dayton has some real good players and great coach. Wouldn't count on this one and definitely wouldn't predict a 15 point win. But lets hope

On the ground in Dayton. Beautiful 68 degree weather greeted the arrival. Cannot wait to watch the Bonnies take on the Flyers tomorrow afternoon at UD Arena. Very anticipated game here in Dayton - they know how dangerous the Bonnies are. Have talked with some locals - they love the passionate fan base the brown & white brings.
Tomorrow is game day. Locked in from the start.
Go Bonas!

I'm feeling confident. I think Jay has another 30 in his holster for the Flyer Faithful.
