One of our own got the worst of Jaylen Adams's tumble into press row. How can we help get the kid a new laptop?

Just needs to new screen. Those don't cost too much. No need for a whole new laptop.

From the low blow to Rautins....To getting Pragered vs VCU.....To Idris gaining possession by batting ball tonight.....To Chuckie's laptop Nothing good ever happens when they "go to the monitor" during a Bonnies game!!

.....To Idris gaining possession by batting a ball... THAT was one of the most asinine calls I've ever heard as a referee myself. IT sounds like they just didn't want to deal with the hassle of resetting the clock for Dayton to the right time and possibly get booed by the crowd.....one of the lamest excuses I've EVER heard from officials. And I might be wrong, especially if men's college rules are different on technical calls than women's college rules, but after Ayeni's technical (which had its own flawed calls by the refs), and the technical foul shots, I believe the Bonnies should've been granted the ball as at the "point of interruption", it was a held ball and the possession arrow (from what I could tell since Dayton got the ball to start the 2nd half and there were no jump balls after that before the technical) favored the Bonnies. It just seems to me that the refs mistakes just keep getting more blatant and baseless as the games roll on here....

The idris call is correct. I do shot clock for high school bball and that is exactly what a ref told me about a reset once. If a player is able to grab the ball and redirect it into play which he did. He had his whole hand on ball. Idris didn't tap it he had possession with one hand and put it back in play so it is a reset. Possession in basketball is different than football.

Then he should have been able to "pass"it to a teammate. The ball went into no mans land. He was diving and all he could do was blindly bat it back to court(whole hand not withstanding). The rule also creates an inconsistency. The refs would not allow him a timeout if he had yelled for one with his hand on the ball, yet they deem the same thing possession. Bad rule. sad.

This discussion brings back to mind one of my personal points of irritation. That is when a player dives out of bounds to save a ball when he does not have any teammates nearby inbounds. My latest was Jay diving onto the table to save the ball when the only nearby players were 2 Flyers. So he saves the ball, risking injury (and broken hardware), and Dayton ends up with possession while we are a guy down. I'm not sure Idris's save was any better.
On a side note, are posters here trying to imitate Trump's Tweeting style or am I just taking note of the appended short comments that I have never noticed in the past?

Beautiful question, 79. We will build taller tables. a10 will pay for them. Diving for balls? Best. Thing. Ever.
