I was told we would not be taking a CIT or CBI, so we are done It would cost us money we really don't have, right? I can't complain about us turning them down. If this team had given more effort at times this year, they would've been invited to one of two tournaments. Bottom line is that there was a pretty definitive line after the top four in our conference this year. AND the conference, as a whole, was really down as we saw after the non-conference games concluded. We were most likely the 5th best team in the A-10 but showed nothing to prove we could've been considered in the top 4 (other than maybe a moral victory over VCU on our home court, if you choose to look at it that way). I'm still dealing with more anger over last season than any anger this season and it's mainly at last year's NCAA Committee because opportunities like last year don't come along very often for our institution and we were robbed. Oh well, life goes on... This ... well stated. The NIT this year would have helped a bit in that regard (the anger). Let's hope everything aligns next year...

LOL!!! Why did I know you were going to say that. Is that the only brilliant thought you can come up with? Comical. Get real. sorry I am not creative enough to create multiple accounts and post the same thing over and over and over... I never would've thought of such fun! sounds like a great life Tasty- I'm just trying to point out that we need to get better. There's a fine line. Add just 3 wins ( VCU, Ark LR & Canisius ) and we're in business. I expect us to be pretty good next year. We need to stay positive and look forward to next year.

I agree with you. No way this years team deserved a NIT bid. Last year the team could beat anyone in the A10. Lost at GW and Davidson and did not beat any of the top 4 teams! The team this year was hurt by the lack of an inside game to go with one of the best backcourts in Bona history.

Getting in invited to a tournament with essentially nothing but top 100 teams when you have 0 wins against them makes no sense. We couldn't close a couple, move on try again. The nit could give a shit we got snubbed, they're not in the business of "making it even"

If we could go back in time and replay the season I would have played Ikpeze every game. Next season will come down to our role players stepping up big time. Need a suprise on the recruiting front as I'm not sure who on current roster can make the jump to all conference play.

Well of course we deserved to be invited to the NIT, give me a break. We have some major injuries which negatively impacted our depth - Chino and Stockard and we still pulled out 20 wins in a very tough conference. If not for two major officiating debacles we would have stood at 22 wins. Outstanding - many thanks to Coach and company. We had 20 wins, Syracuse had 18 wins, and yet The Orange gets a No. 1 seed in the NIT - Jerry Sullivan was right on in his article in the Buffalo News today - they are completely undeserving of any honor. In fact Sluggio Jim and his team should be on probation as we speak. Congrats to the Brown and White on consecutive 20 wins seasons - that is the news - not the snub for the second year in a row.

Two years without a single team in the top 25 - lets hope its a cycle that rebounds. The conference has never been weaker at the top

A10 beat literally nobody in the out of conference schedule, and look at some of those losses. Wow

Ok, admittedly, the conference had a down year...but it is in NO WAY "very weak"...Tha A10 is the 8th ranked conference in the nation, out of 32 conferences. That put them in the top 25%..,pretty darned good by everyone's standards, except yours.

I meant in comparison to the temple, Xavier days.... It is still better than most conferences in the country. I'm just saying if it was an upper echelon conference than we would be in the NIT, because anytime you finish in 5th u should be at least in the NIT
