SBU has not lost to George Mason since they joined the A10. Lets hope that streak can continue. Mason under-preformed in the non-conference, but had an impressive shooting night at St. Joes to open A10 play.

GM has an easier time scoring than us, averaging 73 ppg (#6 in conference) to our 67 ppg (#13). Defensively we have a slight edge. We are #2 in blocks due to the stellar play of double O who is #1 in the conference by a comfortable margin.
Both teams struggle equally to grab rebounds but we are better on the offensive glass.
Due to Courtney's limited play this season he is missing from some of the leading A10 stats as you might expect. Sadly his 7 turn over game in just 16 mins against the Cuse has him tied for most turn overs in a game. That had to be his worst Bona performance & I expect him to come back strong leading the way.
Kyle is #16 in scoring (14 ppg), #8 in assists, # 8 FT% (83%), #10 A/TO Ratio & #2 in MPG.
No surprise Bona has two players with most mins a game. Jalen is #1 at 37.2 mpg.
I attended one Bona game at GM and I hope there is a strong contingent as there was that night. Their impressive band knows how to drown out the Bona faithfull. Hope we have lots to cheer about.

We are #2 in blocks due to the stellar play of double O who is #1 in the conference by a comfortable margin. Osun is on a pace to finish the season 8th in blocked shots...on the career list. If he maintains his pace, he'll have the third or fourth best individual season in blocked shots.

Mason torched St. Joes last night so hopefully that’s out of their system. This game needs our guards to do what they have done in stretches this season— defend smaller, quicker guards and make the third option beat us. Mason is the more experienced team and Livingston could always go off. I doubt Nelly goes 7/9 or whatever it was from 3 again but we will need him to hit open shots. Poyser has gotten a lot of flack on here and rightly so, but he can show everyone he stil belongs on this team by stepping up in A10 play... (D pressure, athletic takes to the basket, hitting 3s on occasion... taking his tray back at the Hickey). He needs to stop taking shortcuts and realize the importance of Schmidt set plays for our 2g. The game is on NBC Sports Network starting at 4pm, maybe. It is the last game of an A10 tripleheader starting at noon, Richmond at Dayton, then GW at St Joes, then us.

Obviously I hope we win, but it would really be comforting to see some improvements on the offensive strategy. Generate more open looks, more cuts to open spaces, more movement in general without the ball and less chucking up shot clock buzzer beaters that have little chance.

Bonnies playing with more energy. Need to sustain it.
What does Poyser do well?
