URI and Charlotte has players who did not even get a ruling from the Clearinghouse on a player until a month into the season (one from Philly Lutheran, too). The BCF schools seem to get their rulings before the "little" schools so, if there is any clearinghouse issues (and I am not saying there will be in Taylor's case, since I don't know his academic situation), I wouldn't expect to even know if he can play until Christmas time.

Why do you say "waste two years of eligibility"?
He has four years of eligibility remaining, doesn't he?

Why do you say "waste two years of eligibility"? He has four years of eligibility remaining, doesn't he? Yes. I think what he was referring to was if he had gone to college straight out of highschool with the knee injury he had he would have lost those years of eligibility.

Article in Pittsburgh's Post Gazette - two of Duquesne's new recruits, who are already in school, are still waiting for the Clearinghouse to give them the OK. As I said before, even if an athlete has accepted a scholarship offer and school has started, that does not mean they have been cleared. www.post-gazette.com/pg/07240/812597-13.stm
