Eleby can't make a wide open lay up in crunch time that screamed of a choke job, no offense to Malcolm but there is other word that better describes it
Eleby has never heard of a normal passing form all he knows how to do is dribble and then throw a ball as hard as he can at some one
16 turnovers to 7
Davenport not calling time out on an inbound instead he decided to chuck it 70' down the floor
Andrew Nicholson was on the bench for 8 minutes in the 2nd half
Mo Thomas was on the bench even longer
I hope the press has some guts to ask for answers about these guys not getting any playing time.
On a final note Blackburn was jumping around enough during the game why didn't he play.

Coach has to answer some tough questions because in my mind, he lost the game tonight. His choices with Andrew and Mo were totally inexcusable. Fordham is freaking horrible and they scored on us at will, it was a total joke.

why do we keep losing games at home with the students there? How does this happen. And what was going on with the subbing pattern with Schmidt? How do our two big men sit for most of the half.

a 3-2 defense would be perfect with Nicholson and Thomas down low. I just don't get playing Benson over Nicholson/Thomas

I keep singing the same song on defense....tell Andrew to stay at home in the paint.. he is a shot blocker/ disrupter. I hate seeing him hedging against a point guard 18 ft from the basket..he does not have the foot speed to recover. Its asimple game dont over think it coach you play your best 5 till the fall down or foul out.

Also, in regard to DAVENPORT, why did he inbound the ball 3 times in the last 2 minutes? Thats something I don't think very few freshman should be doing.

Something has to be done in regards to the RC. Change the seating configuration again. It is just obvious we have no home court advantage anymore! We just don't. How do you lose to Fordham at home is beyond me.

Put the students in the blues behind the visiting bench... give the visiting team 2 rows of seating just like they used to. Is there enough students to fill those seats?

Other reasons why we lost:
FORDHAM's more experienced players stepped up(BETHEL, WING, even DEVINE) ours did not (ELEBY, BENSON, & CARTER)
MATTHEWS did not have the footspeed to stay with FONTAN.
Poor shot selection and play execution.
BETHEL used his bulk (just like GADLEY did in the CANISIUS game) to look like all A10. This is a concern for next year too when we go up against "thick" players.

Mo Thomas = 10 points, 10 rebounds in 23 minutes
Andrew = 16 points, 6 rebounds in 27 minutes
Benson = 0 points, 5 rebounds in 21 minutes
-------------------------------------------------------
How in the world does Benson get comparable playing time to Mo and Andrew with those numbers ?
And if Mo can put up a double0double in 23 minutes, imagine what he night do given 35+ minutes.

Even after last night's game, still believe Schmidt is a good coach for the Bonnies. But how do you explain his substitutions. As B02 and Back 9 detailed
1. Benson gets just 2 minutes less playing time than Grease, who has his 6th double-double. Back 9 is correct, how many double-doubles would he have if he played 30 minutes.
2. Andrew is on the bench 8 of the 20 minutes in the 2nd half. Fordham's star freshman Jio Fontan payed 40 minutes. Why can't Andrew play at least 30 minutes a game. He has played 30 minutes just 2 times this season.
3. For obvious reasons Malcolm spends most of the 2nd half on the bench and Schmidt decides to put him in with 28 seconds left in the game?
4. With the team's limited depth you would think your better players would be playing at least 30 minutes a game. Well it is true of Jonathan and Chris, but not for Grease and Andrew. Just can't figure why.

Can anyone else explain to me why Cook is getting no time either. I am not going to say that he would have been the answer at all. But we have limited depth as it is, and he just isn't getting into the game. I would rather have him getting minutes and preparing him for the future than putting Benson out there to jack up 3s that don't even touch the rim. Coach's faith in Benson is more baffling to me than anything else. Carter did have a good stretch to this game. He is actually playing pretty well right now for as much criticism as he has got in the past. But a more regular rotation of our 3 big men is all anyone is asking for on this.
