Leonard needs more time? You mean 2 years of Juco + 1 redshirt year he needs more time? I'm sorry House has more upside to me 6-9 centers are not always fast. Yes Leonard needs more time..you give him 7 minutes in an exhibition game and you have him sold out?? Exhibition games often can let us see a player may be special...but often times it does not..especially if a player is limited to 7 minutes due to a flu bug. A juco who led the state of california jucos in scoring at 25ppg i'm not wriitng off after 7 minutes. All indications from the staff is Leonard will be a key early sub off the bench this year. Lets please let the guy play his 1st minute of an nccaa game at sbu before we label the guy

Personally I like what I saw from House ..... first time I saw him except for his youtube HS state finals video.
I thought he handled himself quite well and has alot of upside maybe even some this year but most definitely in his junior and senior years!

There are probably 4 players ahead of LL at the guard position. Ogo & Eleby splitting the 40 minutes per game at the point. If Matthews is hitting his threes he will probably play 30 minutes himself. that leaves 10 minutes per game for LL & Michael Davenport. I think the player playing the better D will get the nod - but we are not talking about alot of minutes. Now if Chris isn't hitting his threes - and LL comes in and does knock down a few - there will be times he get more minutes. Just my opinion.

Mutt, I follow your logic with the limited minutes, but I think we'll be playing with 3 guards for significant stretches(with Hall playing PF versus opponents that don't have too much height)- so the minutes available to split between Davenport and Leonard figure to be more than 10....

Was it confirmed Leonard was ill because that would explain alot. Don't get me wrong I want Leonard to score 10 plus a night. Had high expectations prior to exhibition. Remember Coach gave him 7 minutes . Why only 7? First impressions Conger looks the part of an A-10 player and House was a nice suprise.

No body (that I've noticed) has said anything about Andrew's 4 fouls. Is anyone troubled by that?
Edited to fix typo

A little troubled by Andrew's foul trouble, but with House only playing less than 10 mins and being his primary backup, it showed that the 4 fouls weren't that costly as they didn't keep him off the floor that much. From the audio I remember them being more spaced out and Andrew coming out with around 3 mins to go in the first half.
Andrew was able to still not only contribute with the fouls, but put up gaudy numbers. This shows me that he knew how to play his game with the fouls and not have it impede his ability to play at a high level.

I would be a little more concerned about ANDREW's 4 fouls if ROSEBORO had played. Not that I expect BRETT to replace MAURICE but I am expecting more from him than HOUSE.

I agree with jh. Other than last years players who are back, untill Friday I have no idea how the other guys will play and for how long. I am assuming that everyone back will be better with a solid season under their belt and then it's everyone else. To say you expect more from Roseboro than House is totlal conjecture at this point. Two weeks ago people on this board had Cook as the odd guy out and now it looks like he could start or at least see some signifcant PT. I am concerned about Roseboro's shoulder and would not be surprised if we red shirted him based on mdical reasons. Reoccurring shoulder dislocations is troubling and could require surgery. The posters who expect Leonard to be all NBA have nothing but hearsay to go by. I predict a team that plays tough and has alot of close games. I am hoping for a return of the homecourt advantage we were known for. Our depth will be a huge benefit over past seasons. I am hoping for 20+ wins and am banking on Andrew being not just a dominant A10 player but an up and coming national star. But like jh says. Untill things unfold we can't know for sure. We are picked just in the Top 200. Most "experts" don't expect much but hopefully that can change.

I'm not trying to turn this into a ROSEBORO vs HOUSE thing, I would be perfectly happy with a COOK-HOUSE-ROSEBORO-SIMMONS rotation to better protect ANDREW upfront. Also, ROSEBORO comes in from a BIG EAST school and a 3 star RIVALS so that is where my expectations come from but you are right until it is proven by anyone of the four mentioned players it is conjecture. Also, not to split hairs between 3 fouls or 4 but one of the fouls called on ANDREW against MANSFIELD was when the ball, ANDREW, and the opponent arrived at the same exact time. It was the right call but the poor pass was the cause of the foul.

Sip - with all the horses we have coming off of the bench Schmittys success will be determined by the type of Offense he runs and his defense. Will it be like Dukane's or will he only sub off the bench when he doesn't like what's going on, on the floor?
We all know the the Bonnies killed themselves with all of their turnovers - Schmittys going to have to stop that. Coach is also going to have to step up the defense - last years team just couldn't handle the transition going from offense to defense.
Another thing that I Noticed last year was that the team just didn't seem to be "tight" . They need to play as a team - always backing each other up and giving support. I hope thats a part of this teams make up and chemisty.
I think
