I have known Jimmy since I rebounded for him on the side baskets at practice in the Reilly Center. I was at practice the day when the news broke that Bonas would not be able to participate in the NCAA tournament in 1969, Satalin's senior year. Poor Jimmy, he cried like a baby, and others followed. The Brown Indians would have gone a long way that year. The real kick in the **** for Satalin is that he had been red-shirted a year due to serious surgery. I have always known Jimmy to be a good man and I wish he and Kathy the very best. Who knows, he is 65-66 years old and may just want to stay home or head to Florida in the Winter! I will certainly give Satalin the benefit of the doubt!
great guy, great coach a true teacher of the game and most importantly, a son of a coach..saddest thing is that the AD at sbu when satts was the coach put the wood to him and wouldnt let him have his own hoops camp at sbu..totally asinine..basically flushed him out to duquesne...dumbest move of all time !
