Many of those broadcast trucks are created by a company in Oneonta called Medical Coaches...they also create many of the portable MRI trucks used by hospitals. Much of the IT/electrical work for those is done by a company called Applied Solutions, that is actually owned by a Fillmore resident. Perhaps either of those companies could aid in upgrades? good post, mcenroe...filled with specific names and a suggestion for input/help...hope this will lead to someone contacting ad kenney and/or some other appropriate person at bonas to get the ball rolling on this...btw, speaking of tim kenney, some more good quotes by him in today's oth...but the line of the day belongs to larry sudbrook and his david and goliath analogy...i love his direct, no bs answers and how he always hits the nail right on the head...

If Medical Coaches built the broadcast trailer that SBU has now, they would be the place to call with inquiries. They design the trailers and install the desired components. They could fit any upgrades. Applied Solutions would not be of use, unless MC needed wirIng or schematics help.

I am super excited about this. These video board upgrades as well as the video scorer's table will be huge. People need to relax on the funding of these. As someone who is very in with the athletic department and basketball program it is nothing to freak out about. People need to realize that now we have these boards all the advertising will be done on these! People will no longer have to look at some half ass banner they donated money for instead a great video promotion! It will be great for the RC and much needed. I also saw a tour the other day and heard someone go "They play division 1 basketball in here?!?!" . Maybe with the help of these new video boards the RC will still be rowdy as ever but attract a recruit or too and make the game day experience for the average fan that much better.
