Kenney makes me want to puke. Now he throws Andrew under the bus. Reaching for sticks to try and justify his crap decision and horrible communications. Time to show Kenney the door. Adios loser. Throws Andrew under the bus? Can you read?

why doesn't Pollack interview someone from the A10? the NCAA? maybe former ADs like Zwerlein and Watson? or even someone else in the athletic department? so we can gain more perspective instead of just hearing the same stuff from Kenney?
A three part interview with the same guy? Why three parts? to sell more newspapers I guess but Its not like they are particularly long articles. Condense them into 1, and bring us 2 other perspectives on the RC

Throws Andrew under the bus? Can you read? Sure can.....and that's what Kenney did using Andrew. Who knows what Andrew truly said, if anything? This situation has morphed to the point where Sister Margaret needs to suspend the seating plan and apologize to the University community. She then needs to pass whatever safety issues are involved by the University's Director of Safety and Security, Gary Segrue, as well as Coach Schmidt and the University's attorneys. Kenney has blown his credibility and just needs to shut-up.

He's addressing the lines to the concessions, could a proper hot dog to bun ratio be far away?

TK used Andrew as his foil in the Pollock article. That in itself is just disgraceful. Just more spin, and attempts at damage control.

Thank you Woof for posting the original quote from the article. I think the next paragraph after what you posted does a lot to put Andrew's reported reaction into context:
“Me and Mark (Schmidt) were in Toronto and went to dinner with Andrew Nicholson and David Vanterpool,” Kenney said of last week’s trip with Bona’s men’s coach during the Pan-Am Games. “We were explaining some of (the changes, including the courtside seats) and Andrew said, ‘That’s fantastic … can you put in two rows of seats?’ And I said, ‘Oh, no, no, no … I’ll get killed if I do that.’ But he thought it was a great idea and he’s a recent (player).
“Other (previous Bonnies) I’ve talked to said, ‘You have to do something. We’ve played here, we know we don’t get what other A-10 programs get in terms of resources.’”
I would surmise that the conversation was not along the lines of "we're pushing the students back off the court", but rather along the lines of here's what we are doing to bring this program up a level and make it what we want it to be. Don't forget, Andrew was ostensibly recruited to begin the restoration of the program. Why wouldn't he react positively to an actual plan to help do that?
Frankly, I am pleased that our AD is making changes. I can say from my professional experience, being a change agent is thankless. But if changes lead to a better situation, it is also very rewarding.
I do find moving the TV table to the tunnel to be a bit puzzling from a logistical point of view, but let's see what he has in mind.

I don't think St. Bonaventure is necessarily being singled out. It is my understanding that URI modified its student seating at the Ryan center several years ago upon urging by the league. Students used to be allotted tickets close to the opposition bench in the section closest to the court. It is thought that coaches and schools complained to the league office. As a result URI no longer seats students in that area. Furthermore, there is a police officer always situated near the opposition bench during the entire game.

The unspoken subtext of this is that across the country student behavior is dangerously bad The proximity of students to the court makes it more concerning
Enrollment is a big issue parents don,t want to send their kids to an animal house... Any negative incident. Would be on ESPN instantly, and generate more bad pr than could be overcome I,d add that the court behavior spills over to the campus and community, also bad pr

Oh please stop with sophistry, the facts are as clear as day, TK has a grievance from the time he was an official with UMass, and as the newly annointed AD at Bonas acted on his prejudice and enacted a plan that is totally unacceptable to our community. Sadly this individual is so arrogant that he can not accept the fact that his base of knowledge of this institution and community is so limited and erroneous, that he is forced to use an esteemed player as cover for his gigantic screwup. That is pathetic. Bonas student are no threat to public safety or to the existence of our republic, they are young folks who are very enthusiastic, and full of energy. To read some to the folks on this board you would believe that they are the largest threat to national security since Klaus Fuchs. Just more malarky from the sheep who fail to stand up for the students, students who are the in fact the bedrock of this program.
Oh by the way, my parents were pleased as punch that I picked SBU to attend, especially with its great tradition of spirit, my folks loved the atmosphere of the Armory and the UC/RC. So lets stop with the paranoia about public safety and the attacks on our students, its a red herring of the highest order.

I don't believe Klaus Fuchs was ever a threat to our national security. No, I have to agree with firstdev here. He really was. I also applaud firsdev's use of sophistry, even though I disagree with its application here. However, I'm afraid I'm in even greater agreement with agoo. Worth Smith must have been running a pretty good sale on tin-foil hats this month.
