Dem Bonnies deserved a far better fate today. What a rigged screwover.
F&$@ the A10. Look out for Our Heroes in Da Burgh. They will take no prisoners, refs and league ofc be damned.
Jay Adams was unbelievable today. We were just one possession short. Crudiola.

Not to pile on Coach but I really struggle to understand why Mobley was left in while Adams was shooting FTs and you know you are going to foul right away. He has 4 take him out and sub him in after the Bonnie foul. That is elementary school coaching. Otherwise thought we battled well down the stretch. Two calls went Dayton's way really swung the game. The T on Ayeni without an offsetting T on Pollard's push. And a no call on Gregg's drive with about 3 minutes left when it was down to a 3pt lead. I would like to get an explanation for both those calls.

Players take on the characteristics of the coach, simple as that! Gregg is a good sixth man, not a third option

You can see the poop streak trailing down Gregg's leg. Can't even hold onto the ball in crunch time. Can someone with basketball acumen tell me why Adams takes all of our inbounds? Shouldn't he be the one receiving the ball? It just makes no sense throwing the ball into Andoh of all people with the game on the line. Schmidt is freaking trash in close games. ZERO wins against good teams this year. Z E R O. Couple games ago the NBC announcer tracked it and determined St. Bonaventure scored more points than anyone in the country with inbounds plays in their own end. A mark he attributed to Schmidts plays and Adams imbounding..... But of course you probably know more basketball I'm sure I was always taught inbound plays are always designed to get the ball back to the inbounder. It really holds true if you watch in bounds that aren't just lobs to a wing. Also not sure having someone else inbound is a good plan for Bonnies. What is Adams going to do to get open that Mobley doesn't and who else is gonna bring it in Taqqee?

I don't know why you feel the need to be smug. But thanks for the info. I figured there was a reason for it. Of course, it helped cost us the game today with that horrific lob to Andoh. Regardless, I do know that Schmidt doesn't maximize our chances to win close games with superior strategy. Much the opposite, actually. Good thing we have the easiest league schedule in years, because we have failed to win against anybody good.

Team battled in a very hostile arena.... Damn Adams can ball. Not sure how the season would have played out with Oko and Stockard available all season. Next season shaping up to be the one to get to the promise land in March.

We will always be just about where we are cuz of Schmidt! He is one of the worst of in game adjustments, we took a 15 point lead then Archie mad an adjustment, and Schmidt never responded back. I will eat my crow about Adams, he is elite, and our coach isn't! I wouldn't be surprised if Adams is out of here next year, guy probably wants to go dancing, and with our coaches track record 1 NCAA tourney in 15 seasons!

Tough to beat Flyers at home, especially when your bigs get in foul trouble & they get 12 more free throws. We shot better from the stripe BUT their 7 more FT points really was the difference as we hit more baskets (including treys) against the conference's best defense.
Denzel took the same # of shots as Jay but could not replicate his La Salle shooting performance. 4-14 for 8 pts doesn't help beat Dayton.
Reffing leaves a lot to be desired. How to you miss Ayen's double dribble & ball off Mikesell on the baseline. The 50/50 calls were not in our favor.
These kids never say die!
