Heemee, Stop by the Iona football office yourself. Fred is a great guy and will be more than happy to discuss his program. Make sure you tell him you are an SBU grad.

Heemee, Did not tell him your thoughts about the program. He can give you a true perspective of a non-schol program better than anyone else. If you tell him your an SBU grad he'll connect the dots for you.

Babygirl, Don't worry, you are not raining on anybodies parade. What exactly is a massive undertaking? LaSalle announced the start-up of their program in December and were on the field the following fall. Five colleges are starting this fall and a total of 16 by 2008 with more to come. Old Dominion will start football with full scholarships and 3 additional women's teams. It wasn't a massive task for this varying group of schools. If they can do it so can SBU. Imagination is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.

Imagination is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration. Or... [glow=red,2,300]Genius[/glow] is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Accordingly, a 'genius' is often merely a talented person who has done all of his or her homework."

What started out as a discussion of a potential football program turns into the inspirational message poster game.....darn those Be\/e|$ ruining a good thing. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
GENUS: In biology, a genus (pl. genera, from the Greek word ãåíïò) is a taxonomic grouping. That is, in the classification of living organisms, a genus is considered to be distinct from other such genera. A genus has one or more species: if it has more than one species these are likely to be morphologically more similar than species belonging to different genera.
In the binomial nomenclature used worldwide, the name of an organism is composed of two parts: its genus name (always capitalized) and a species modifier. An example is Homo sapiens, the name for the human species which belongs to the genus Homo.

Ah yes, it's a lot like "Star Trek: The Next Generation". In many ways it's superior but will never be as recognized as the original.

What are you talking about? If any one of us is banned and you're still allowed on here then it's a bunch of hypocrisy and favoritism. You push the envelope and instigate as much as the next guy. Until my recent run-ins with you, I've never had a complaint about a post. You're such a kiss***to Fox and Bona91 that it's sickening. Is this the part where you run to Board Two and tell them all how you stood up to the Bandwagon? I must say I am puzzled as to why there is the need to crap on this board...you got Paradise where you are it's a DemBonnies Free Zone and no Bona91 censoring you...you got everything you need and want...but you're just so intent on screwing things up here that you mess on the carpet before you get out the door....then you cry foul when folks pigeonhole you as immature...really!!

No, this is the part where I post about my next meeting with "the crew" maybe at a sweet golf outing where I overpay to see a JV-like coach drive some golf balls and just hope he smiles at me. And get all giddy inside once I see Fox post about our latest rendezvous...
is that my move or yours?

Wow, I don't even have to touch that.
Why do you feel the need to be the personal watchdog for this board? For some reason you're the only one who continually picks fights for the tiniest little thing.

How did we go from an interesting debate about adding football to all this crap ?
Bona '91, more bannings ARE in order - or perhaps a complete elimination of this forum. These people are on here just to disrupt things, not to offer any credible bit of debate or useful content.

...and mikenice, I would thank you NOT to address me personally in your posts. I've never done that to you, so why are you dragging my name into this garbage. I have nothing to do with the running of this board, haven't had for years.
It is always "Fox this' and "Fox that," with you.

None of that's directed at YOU Fox. It's simply pointing out that - say you were to discuss something off topic - DemBonnies is more than happy to discuss it with you and approve it. Same with many of the older guys. I'll admit plenty of complaints made by members are legitimate but not all of them. Dem is a prime example of the hypocrisy that runs rampant on this board. That's why I use you as an example.
Say you post something about a friendly get-together in someone's garage. I'd bet DemBonnies would join in the topic and say something like, "Great to see you post, it's been a while." Something friendly to that degree, even though the post has nothing to do with every single member on this board.
At the same time, DemBonnies will question the relevancy of a few posts dedicated to the discussion of a recent and future Bonaventure graduation party. Again, not every single board member is involved, but several, yet this one shouldn't be allowed?
It's probably because I'm an immature new poster who only came onto this board a few months ago to start trouble, right? Except I've been reading and posting on these boards since the original one. Yup, that's right. From before "Thanks for the Memories" was played on the original to the short-lived Bandwagon II to this one, I've been here.
So, I ask you, why should I be banned for having a problem with ONE other member? He seems to be the only guy on here that's picking fights for no good reason.
