We need to cheer for any and all A-10 teams in OOC this year. And every year. All the time. Every game.

Personally most years I think it’s ok to root against VCU. That said things are so bad in A-10 need all wins we can get.

#2 Kansas loses at home handily to #102 Washington. Never complain about a rivalry road win.

The A10 has a grand total of 7 road wins. The Bonnies own 3 of those.

Would have been great for the A10 for URI to gut out the win on Alabama's court. What a great game that was. Alabama isn't all that special but that would have been a high quality road win. URI is every bit deserving of the pre-season hype. I kind of thought they'd take a step back without their big men but they might be better this year. Perhaps the only thing standing in the way of URI sweeping the A10 is a certain away game February 16.

They are better than last year because they have an abundance of really good guards, and that is how we should be playing. WE need to go small and push the tempo.

The Big East has only 5. the Pac 12 has only 2 road wins. yup- the Bonnies have more road wins than the entire Pac 12 conference right now. Now, of course, these major conferences don't play a lot of true road games, sure, but maybe they should. And a team that does go on the road and wins should be given more respect in my opinion because its not easy

Watching Vermont play Marquette. These guys can nail threes, box out well on boards and if you're not careful, they can beat teams downcourt for easy transition hoops. Cohesive unit. 6-2 entering tonight's game. These Cats are not chopped liver. This might be a team we can look at in the mirror and mistake for us. That is going to be one good game in Rochester which is why we need everyone possible there to make the "home court advantage" a REAL advantage. If we let them do to us what Niagara was doing and not get back on defense, we will find ourselves blowing an important non-conference game. Let's go, Bonas!!!

Northeastern put an 18-pt whipping on Bucknell. I was hoping if there was any team our boys could afford to look past, it was Northeastern. But they defeated Bucknell? Bucknell beat Vermont who should be a tough game for us. I guess our fellas need to continue to take it "one game at a time," huh?

I think the weakness of the A-10, or more specifically how it relates to our chances at an at-large, are a bit overstated. It clearly has been a poor start for the conference, but it's still top 10 in the country and has played the third most difficult schedule. Rhode Island, Bona, Davidson, VCU, and Dayton all have a very good shot at being top 100 RPI teams and La Salle and St Joes (especially with Charlie Brown back) will have a shot as well. The biggest problem will be avoiding bad losses as their are more landmines than usual in the A10, but we have a relatively smooth path to an at-large as long as we win games.
Yale and Vermont are the KenPom favorites to win their leagues. Buffalo is 2nd and will get what some are calling their best player back for the second semester. Northeastern (and Jackson St for that matter, but the SWAC is terrible) is 3rd. All of those teams will likely win a lot of games within their conferences. Maryland and Syracuse are projected to have top 40 RPIs.
At the end of the day, all of the following have the potential to be quadrant 1 wins: Maryland (N), Buffalo (A), Syracuse (A), URI (H), URI (A), Davidson (A), Dayton (A), VCU (A).
We got screwed in 2016. It was unprecedented and unfair, but it doesn't mean we have to have unreal expectations. The opportunities for big wins are there, we just need to take advantage.

Lot's of games on TV today, too. Once Bona was done, it's been clicking heaven (except for the scores, of course).
