Post Grad would fortunately mean immediate eligibility, which would be great.

I guess this would go here since he’d have to sit out next year. This would be a HUGE get. Sestina is a monster. He singlehanded crushed the bonnies early on. ... Not sure what that would do with the rotation with planutis and winston already manning the forward positions. Unless they changed that rule again, Sestina would play next year. Grad transfers don’t need to sit out.

Sestina hasn't really said much publicly other than he is looking at turning pro, probably in Europe, or going the grad transfer route. If he decides to do the latter, I imagine Bona would be on his list. I suspect he'll get a couple of P5 looks so who knows. He knows Bona well and might very well like playing close to home. What he's said privately and to whom, who knows?

There was mutual interest between Bona and Sestina. Bona eventually passed on Sestina. Bona’s last scholarship was going to either Sestina or the last recruit Bona signed that year (I can’t remember who it was).
Sestina really wanted to play at Bonas. His girlfriend at the time was going to Bonas. For what its worth, Sestina played on the same AAU team with Schmidt’s son and Wil Bathhurst, who played at Cornell. While at Bucknell his game improved. If Sestina decided to attend Bonas he would add some greatly needed depth to the front court. Also, it would give Schmidt some flexibility and a different look depending on the opponent and strategy.
I hope this works out. Plus, this would give people who live in the rural area of PA, where Sestina’s family leaves, something to do in the winter time. When Bona played Bucknell at the Reilly Center the last time Sestina and the Emporium brought about 50 people to the game.

Having Sestina would add an experienced senior which provides important leadership. Next years seniors are Amadi, Melki, and JP, but who knows.
Sestina could add many of the tangibles and intangibles that we love in Ladarien.

Sestina would be a welcomed addition, should he choose the good journey for his post-graduate studies. Every time I hear his hometown mentioned, I can't help but picture George Bailey running through Bedford Falls...and I love it.

Hassan Diarra, 6’4” PG/Wing, Putnam Science ‘20 was selected to 1st team All-New England by Hoops Hustle. "After spending last season as Kyle Lofton’s protégé on Putnam Science’s National Championship squad, Diarra took his pitbull tenacity and mixed it with the confidence of a grizzled vet in ’18-‘19. The 6’4” PG/Wing wreaked havoc defensively and on the boards with his 6’10” wingspan while improving exponentially as a shooter. Diarra finished the season averaging 14.2 points, 5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals while shooting 48% FG/37% 3pt/70% FT" www.thehoophustle.com/news_article/show/1004351- He was also in attendance as we beat URI (see end of the video, *explicit language). Diarra would be a HUGE get for us and spread out our talent. Besides us he holds offers from Texas Tech, GW, VCU, Dayton, Georgia, URI to name a few. Hopefully our Putnam connection can influence his decision. He also would be able to contribute right away since we won't be losing nearly the level of talent from previous years (Mobe,Jay,Idris) & (LD,Stockard,Nelly).

Saw on twitter we have offered Kidtrell Blocker from BK in Rochester. As did I. He averaged about 22 a game for Bishop Kearney as a junior. Pure scorer. Would be nice to get him and Taje Hill from Hilton in Rochester. Blocker plays AAU on the UA circuit with Corey Graham Elite.

Blocker is going to blow up in the next year. Right now only the local teams (UB, Canisius and SBU) are in on him. Hopefully being in early gets us a leg up. Would love to see Blocker and Hill come to Bonas.
